Jackson I know you may not have meant it this way but you can’t say stuff like this. Let him believe on his own. Also, do you honestly believe our God is one that is so fickle that he would deny another believer? Regardless of established “religion” they are still fundamentally the same, God would not deny any who has followed a righteous path. Plain and simple. He wants all of his children home. Also think of it this way: you as a person would know that not everyone will believe in one thing but they will believe in similar things therefore why would God not allow multiple religions in order for all of his children to come home. I do not want you in hell -I am not saying this for my own comfort. I use to buy into the same beliefs. I fought the very things that I’m saying now. I wanted to disprove Christianity as a whole. Through research, I reached an understanding that I could not deny. God can show you too, you just have to persistently ask. He just wants you to give up the reigns and stop living in a way that entices death. The world is much more spiritual than most realize. The devil is the ruler of the earth and he does not want you to come to this understanding. That is why there is so much confusion around religion and life in general. If you are confused, come find the answers in the Bible. The lyrics are relating the confidence gained by wearing the attire of a "marginalized" part of society, making you feel a sense of inclusion, to a religious one, where you are able to express that inclusion in a directly vocal way. Being black and going to church has nothing to do with it and neither does being from the ghetto, depending on how literal you want to take the lyrics. Must say the more literal you take it though, the less you are getting out from the song.
