I'd imagine it's in the tray to keep the earth for the welder and still be able to move the knuckle around not to collect sparks.

I would recommend going through an exporter in Japan to buy these (I personally use Jessestreeter.com) but if you want to know the drop downs I will explain. Top box is Basic or SPL, SPL just means the welds are ground back to look neater (this costs more). Second choice is what colour you want, green or black, green costs a little more. Third option is choice whether you are sending stock knuckles to be modified or whether you want them to supply you with ones to modify. Of course it costs more to have them supply the knuckle so you can tell which is which by the price change when you select each option. If you cannot read this level of Japanese I think you will need to use an exporter company though otherwise it will be to hard to arrange. Hope this helps someone :)

I always prefer OEM parts over 3rd party parts, and this is an economical approach to creating angle with the normal steering rack position. OEM parts can be more expensive, but this is due to the time spend developing and testing for quality. Contemporary OEMs are huge with respect to global scale, and must develop considerable investments in supply-chain infrastructure and development in order to keep their parts cost effective. This means making parts that are reliable across the globe, and easily sourced across the globe.

A33 cefiro/maxima rack ends 40-50mm extra. If you have an s13 you need to go s14-15 tie rods or even a33 to make it easier at the parts shop.

Do you run into clearance issues with the stock tension rod, or the inner fender wall? Also do you extend the LCA ?
@Paul_Tomlin
@Paul_Tomlin 3 жыл бұрын
@@danielBMXisFUN you will run into issues if you use a weak offset or wide rim. I usually go 25mm lca and offset tension arm .

Hey Sam awesome vid as always love how you take us to places like this, have learnt so much watching your vids, I saw on the website it states for track use only, is that just a disclaimer as I'm wanting street/drift do you think these knuckles could be used in this way and if so any chance for a link to get the ones where we don't have to trade in cheers from Goldie Australia :)
@nico179
@nico179 3 жыл бұрын
It's just a disclaimer - use at your own risk basically. Any modified knuckle from Japan will say the same as cut knuckles will not pass their 2 yearly roadworthy inspection. If you want to buy these I recommend using a company like Jesse Streeter to help organise but the option for them to supply the knuckle is on their website.

@911lilslim
@911lilslim 3 жыл бұрын
I believe he recommended to stick with stock lca, rod and rack ends, max out your camber and use a straight style tension rod unless youre running a 265 in the front then youll need a curved one for wheel clearance
