Sammy by We Know John (Official Audio)

Sammy is the sixth (and last) single we released from our EP 'You Alright?'.
If you have not heard of us before we are We Know John; a six-piece band that originates from the vibrant music scene of Southampton. Our music is a fusion of pop punk and punchy brass; blending the nostalgia of classic pop punk with the energy of the modern era and blasting horns. We try to write infectious horn lines, catchy melodies, and harmonious vocals that come together to create an upbeat, party-like atmosphere that you hopefully won't want to miss.
We wrote Sammy during the writing stage of the Shot In The Dark Album, but as a slower song we felt that it didn’t really fit on the album and that it deserved its own release as a single.
This song is the closest one to our hearts, Sammy is about just having a child and aspiring to be your parents and how they raised you, whilst remembering the great moments you had. The hope is that you can do as good a job as them and treasure every second that you have.
