Sammy Davis Jr. is possibly the most talented entertainer ever. He could dance, act, do fabulous impressions, play the drums, play the vibes, and , by the way, he coluld sing a little, too.
@RyanWitalison5 жыл бұрын
Not only a great actor, singer, and Dancer, he was also a fantastic impressionist and would often sing as other performers in his concerts, such as Tony Bennett, Jerry Lewis, Dean Martin, and even Frank Sinatra.

MRM, I really hope you have some idea of just how people appreciate seeing you react to someone like Sammy Davis, Jr., who was enjoyed, loved and respected by so many fans decades ago. I am a (white) lady in my 70s and he was one of my absolute favorite performers, from back in the 50s until he passed from throat cancer in 1990. He could, of course, sing and dance like nobody else! But he also shared his great personality and persona with the public. Bravo for letting us see it once more.

He was a very talented singer, dancer, actor, comedian and more. He said he's colored, Jewish and Puerto Riican and none of his people accepted him. His talent was what he aspired to be; it's who he was. An entertainer that was also a man. It would be nice if we humans could be just people be it black, white, Puerto Rican, whatever and nothing bigoted or derogatory attached to it. We're just people. Another great reaction Ty!

That is a line Sammy Davis used in a recurring gag, from a comedy variety show of the late 60's called "Rowen and Martins Laugh-in".

Ty, Sammy Davis Jr. was "The Greatest Entertainer who Ever existed. He started singing and dancing with His Father and Uncle at age 3 in a trio that toured extensively. His career lasted over 60 years, (he passed away I think in the late 90'S), He could sing,dance,act, play many instruments, and conquered all the entertainment media available in his time. He also was a good and generous man. Sorely missed to this day. This video is from a Kennedy Center Awards Program.

Sammy was the triple threat legendary all round entertainer. Check out his version of Mr Bojangles - the one where he is wearing a one piece brown suit-. He is also an amazing dancer. You’ll see where Michael Jackson got some of his moves.

The man was THE MAN. I know he was always connected to Sinatra ( who I love) but Sammy could sing(duh) dance ( he is the nephew of the Nicholas Brothers ( who you freaked on in the Cab calloway vid), act, do impressions and he is criminally underrated.

Sammy Davis Jr was a master. I grew up watching this guy on TV. He ended up as part of the Rat Pack, with Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. A great singer and entertainer. He was also an impressionist of other singers and actors. He's another guy who started in Vaudeville, but he started out on stage when he was a child. He was an awesome tap dancer, too. By the way, he had a glass eye from losing an eye in an car accident. Hope you'll do something by Dean Martin soon.

Sammy Davis,Jr. wore it until he died! He always laughed and said Elvis wore it on his little finger and he had to wear it on his ring finger!!! By the way you do a lot for that blue shirt!!!

I'm late to the party; I just came across this video. I grew up watching Sammy Davis Jr. Along with Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, they practically owned Las Vegas. I don't believe Sammy Davis was the greatest singer who ever lived, or the greatest dancer, or the greatest actor who ever lived. But when you combine all of that into one man, he was the greatest. I don't know who would be the second greatest, but it wouldn't even be close.

Mainecoonlady ha! As much as I do like Bruce, he was never my favourite, which is a sacrilege, you’re exactly right. He actually was my neighbour, I’m originally from Colts Neck & i got thrown out of the same catholic school in Freehold he did before I went to a diff grade school to complete that before HS lol. He is the nicest guy, we had competing Super Bowl parties annually (my dad & he), & shopped at that same Italian salumeria even, he has great taste in food, but to me, Frank will ALWAYS be the Chairman having been born in NJ (Hoboken) & Bon Jovi is MY Jersey hero... Billy Joel for NYC to me 🙂😬...
@caralayne5035 жыл бұрын
Mainecoonlady i totally hear you! Bruce is def a relatable man to so many people 🙂. Ive seen him 5 times now, & was lucky enough to in Jersey @ Giants stadium, so if you think his concerts are legendary, you should his hometown crowd.. his shows all ran way over 4/5 hours, no one could get enough! He is so loved! I saw his kennedy center honours induction, it was great indeed .. I think he is a little too liberal for me, Im not a full blown conservative, but i dont particularly like many performers politics overall... that said, he is for the underdog & working class, which i completely respect! 🖤
