He is one of the smartest guys in the history of sprint car racing. One of few that can drive, turn the wrenches, fabricate, or anything else that needs done. There have been great drivers, but they need a great wrench to showcase it. ... Sammy has always been able to do it all.. not many can say that.

Sammy is an asshole. He even started shit at the go cart nationals when Kevin raced. He slapped a kid that was racing Kevin and he had to get security to leave. What a tool.
