Sammy came from a stable loving , hardworking family with 2 attentive parents. He chose the streets. Michaels father spent decades in prison, his family was ravaged by drugs ect. Michael joined that life to try to save his father. Big difference

Michael followed his loving parents foot steps. He had many options to follow as a baseball pro player. A doctor etc. Sammy was forced into everything he did except the rampers. No parents money inherited. No chance to finish school. Gang was the only option and he was pushed into that road. Sammy HATES Michael it’s so obvious. To Sammy, you have to be violent and have killed someone to be a true gangster and to prove yourself worthy of being in the mob and Michael is a man who came into the life with brains and his fathers reputation and brought millions of dollars in to his family through his scams. Somny Franceze was a very respected and prominent figure in the life so if he gave the family his word and vouched for his son then that must mean something. After all Sonny, was a true monster. I get where Sammy is coming from but if being in the mafia just meant killing each other and being thugs then no money would be made and that is the main goal in the mafia, to make money.

Michael was a "made man." This means he had to have killed someone. It's a requirement to be made. He has at least a couple of videos where he discusses this without admitting to any specific murders. I personally believe he is reformed but that doesn't mean he didn't kill anybody. I found some other material on the internet and apparently law enforcement believe they know who he killed to "make his bones," and suspect him in a least one or two other murders. I'm glad Michael has repented but he had a lot to repent for. Maybe not as much as Sammy, but he was still a killer.

He can change his mind if he wants that is his perogative, however many of the viewers feel mislead and disappointed. Also when the first trailer dropped a lot of excitement was generated for this, and Pat kept delaying it's release and that also didn't help any, and he put it out much later than what he originally said. The viewers feel mislead and it's perfectly understandable. If Pat had said from the start he was going to charge that would have been different.
