I learned that the vanguard isn't about aim, but about movement. If you keep the gun pointed at the same spot (centered) and roll into the position or move into the position its much easier to rack up killstreaks. But you have to be quick about it.

You aim the vanguard with lateral movement, not by actually aiming unless you are still. Best bet is to lateral side to side or simply run right at your enemy and shoot. Once you get better you can jump and fire, fire when you land. Don't hold the trigger down. Turn down your sensitivity as well people always make that mistake. You should know where your enemy is coming from when you use it.

Assault is the most versatile class in the game, in my opinion

Consider the Specialist if you're after an alternative all-rounder class. Long range with the NT-242 or IQA-11, medium range engagement with the A280-CFE, and CQC with the Infiltration mode although I do struggle to land shots with the shotgun for some reason. You can also have some fun leaving 'presents' with the trip mines on doors and objectives, help take down heroes with the Stinger Pistol, and for maximum trolling blast people with the Repulsor Cannon. There is also the completely different melee build game-play as well.

The default guns aren't terrible but I feel like I'm nerfing myself when I use them. The spread is really bad at range and should mostly be used in close quarters like the cr2. I wish we could mod them

It's so counter immersive that we're encouraged to use the "wrong" blaster because the default ones don't have mods. It's like they want droids to run round with first order guns lol. Such bad design. To be honest they should have faction specific models for all available blasters. A dedicated fan could knock that up in blender in about a week so there is no excuse for it really

Note: the scan dart is especially helpful in close-quarters situations like Jabba's Palance because it will allow you to see players through walls. so consider which map you're playing on before equipping it, as for some very long-range maps like Hoth, i might be better to equip a different card that's more suited to that map.

Yea, certain cards are useful on certain maps Extraction on Jabbas palace or Kessel, Naboo 2nd and 3rd stage, and the CIS dreadnought 2nd stage; the acid launcher and scan dart are EXTREMELY good there, complete area denial

So here’s my build: Resourceful - being able to use abilities more often is always super useful. I use this on all my classes besides my Officer BP build (where I have Recharge Command anyways :P). Acid Launcher - When I’m playing the objective, I love the acid launcher. It scares the enemies away from the objective (and it’s actually op in extraction). Toughen Up - the quick health regen is always a nice bonus. When you’re playing aggressively trying to get up in the enemy’s face it helps to have yourself at full health consistently. Sometimes I run Bodyguard instead of Toughen Up - Whenever I’m really desperate to take the objective I’ll just chuck the acid launcher and run in guns blazing and Bodyguard just helps to reduce the damage for me. Not a strategy I’d recommend 99.999978901% of the time but it’s always there if you need it.

So I am new to BF2 and oh my god... what a game. Honestly, I haven't had a game completely immerse me like that in years! I'm not the type to play a bunch of different games just a few I like maybe even just a couple (which explains why I was late to the party). I've been watching your videos to learn the game a little bit more, and they are very helpful! I thought that everyone would be fight over heros and it would be immpossible to get to play one, but that hasn't been the case at all. I have always been able to play a hero as soon as I get the battle points to purchase it! From the campaign to the dog fights, to even the AI to learn heros even more, I've been playing this game non stop this weekend Thank you for all your tips and how to play certain hero's, it has helped me so much!

My 'order of completion' i.e., getting them to level 70 was Heavy, Officer, Assault, Specialist. All four are awesome in their own way. Assault is my go to for CQC maps/phases, Heavy for phases where you need to take out an MTT/ATT/something large, Officer for points building and objective support and Specialist for large open maps like phase 1 Hoth and Crait. My Assault load out is Assault Training (health on kill), Marksman, and Expert Weapons Handling with CR2. This allows ultra high damage output at close range and if you can position yourself correctly, you can take out large groups in a very short period of time. I'm considering swapping out my Expert Weapons Handling with the Ion Grenade as it is a great 'all-rounder' card.

I am going to be new to Battlefront II's gameplay but I know that I will enjoy it. When I have enough levels and am the Assault class, my personal build would use the EL-16HFE/E-11D blaster with the Flash Pistol, Marksman, and Assault Training. Having that long range rifle, the close range shotgun, and the short-mid range pistol that can blind is very useful. Getting the health from kills, better cooling with a long range rifle is so good.

I know this is old, but toughen up regens no matter what while the ability is active. You can still lose health, but you don't stop regenning. I combine this with Assault Training to go on vanguard streaks and survive way longer than i should, since you can activate toughen up even when you are full heatlh.

Im an assault main and I use the resistance blaster because I always go for headshots. Precision and high damage means I can shred in co-op and it’s just a good blaster in general. I like peaking walls with it in Galactic Assault because more damage but slower rate of fire means you can shoot down corridors but they can’t shoot you if you master it. I run the Marksman, Bounty Hunter and Toughen up cards in my loadout. Toughen up is such a good card if you wanna play aggressively, and if you’ve got good aim the marksman card is god tier paired with the resistance blaster as it’s all about precision.

Idk if it says this on the starcard, but when you use “toughen up” it actually starts healing you immediately. If you take damage and you activate it, it will heal you between shots

Something I'd like to see for, and if possible, in Battlefront 2 are Cross-Heroes. Similar to Smash Ultimate's Echo Fighter concept but as Skins to apply easier for Dice to wrap their heads around the concept. This could be a game changing concept. Keep in mind, some of these suggestions could be adjusted between characters such as Savage having a more Han like charge ability as an alternative to Grevious's Claw rush. Along with that thought, Ability Star Cards could too be implemented with this so skins arent just there for the sake of new characters and also so that there can be wider diversity between possible new character skins. This would effectively put to purpose the point of Star Cards as a way to customize gameplay and cater to a specific play style. As a result, so many more characters can be implemented through this method when before, they most likely had little to nothing of a chance of making it into the game. For a list of the possibilities here are the following suggestions: Definitely: Jango Fett for Boba Fett; Padmé for Leia; Savage Oppress for Maul/ Grevious; (Count this if you choose): Old Ben for Obi-Wan; Jyn Erso for Leia; Cassian Andor for Han Solo... Maybe: Mace for Anakin; Qui-Gon for Obi-Wan; Any Notable Clone Wars Jedi for Rey/ Luke; Cad Bane for Boba/ Bossk; Episode 3 Darth Sidious for Count Dooku; Captain Rex/ any Clone hero for Any blaster hero (w/ any alternate blaster); Kanan Jarrus for Luke or Anakin... Cross Villains/ Heroes or "Clone/ Echo Characters" for either side: Dark Side Anakin for Anakin; Dengar (Bounty Hunter) for Han Solo; Sabine Wren for Boba Fett... Bonus: Assajj and Ahsoka needs to happen Thank you for reading through the tediousness of this comment and I implore you to further spread it and so the ideas through copy and paste. I love assault because all of their guns are so versatile. I use the CR-2 in the smaller modes like blast or even in Death Star in GA. The A280 is my go to on medium-average sized GA maps, and it's possibly the most versatile gun in the game by itself. Finally, the EL-16 is great for long range maps like Crait and Hoth so long as you, like people in the comments have pointed out, tap fire.

If you manage to land a couple flash shots you can easily confuse your enemies and get free kills and since it doesnt have a cooldown to use its a great secondary!!!

My personal build and battle point build is Bounty hunter, Smart ion grenade or a kill streak vanguard, and toughen up. With this You'll get a hero first about 95% of the time and will get 4k+ bp per life if you play smart. I've seen some great players use this combo to dominate in recent months and it's worth noting. The reason this can be better than scan dart is for the fact you don't need to rely on bad teammates and you can do things on your own without others letting you down.

Love the Assault class! Another tip, the EL absolutely melts the AT-TE and other vehicles. It just seems the AT-TE in particular melts in around 4 perfect flushes of the weapon.

Just started playing this about 2 months ago to get my star wars fix and to break up the monotony of 100% swtor. Tp my surprise I found I absolutley love this game! Took a while to get into it and it was only once i started playing aerial every chance i could that i started getting some killstreaks. I've found specialist got a LOT easier when I ran stealth with bounty hunter and the damage reduction version of infiltration.. I use infiltration on CD on cap supremacy ground mode to reposition frequently and surprise cap nodes that are weakly defended.

My Star Card combo is Toughen Up, Bounty Hunter and then the Improved Thermal Detonator I find it really helpful when playing the objective or in 1v1s and it works relatively well in large multiplayer battles

You've probably heard this before but shouldn't the damage stats for the EL16HFE be swapped? It being a long ranged weapon it should do more damage at long range rather than close range?

I just started playing, and the class that pulled me in was the Assault Class. I know that I'll probably just stick with the standard blaster and that the Acid Launcher card is something that I know I'll be using (I prefer stuff like that over the usual grenade). I'm not sure on my other cards just yet, but I know I'm not using the Flash Pistol Card.

The marksman card, and assault training card and the “instant health card”. And equip the blue blaster bolt weapon. Focus on cards that deals the most damage. Because even at 150 hp it’s easy to kill people if you are good at aiming.

For those who like to play more long range or those who generally overheat their weapons, the Marksman card is great since it grants longer cooling power. When fighting multiple enemies it's also super useful since the overheat will reset on each kill, allowing you to continuously fire. Personally I use it a lot with the A280 for those reasons. Just felt like mentioning this because I rarely see anyone use the Marksman card

Quick Tip with the (Tank Build) I recommend using the "Toughen Up" ability before you get into a fight. It'll heal any damage you take while you're attacking and you will still get more health for each kill from your "Assault Training" ability, with the Survivalist being the ability for quick cover healing. One thing that really gets me about the Toughen Up ability is that it seems to cancel out if you're rolling around. I will tend to try to press it and roll away under fire and it never seems to turn on when I do that. Very hard to keep in mind that I can't use it the way I want to...

Good guide. Also go for the hero when you see them, vanguard can basically 2-3 shot most heroes and give you a ton of points even if you fail.

As a meme build I use the ion grenade, really any other cards and the cr-2 blaster with the ion shot. It surprisingly does a lot of damage to a squad shield or turret. So I stand at Lind range and burn any thirds but can’t kill them cause the damage ca players is so low with ion shot.
