The only reason I liked Yandere Sim was because of Kubz Scouts. I’ve been watching his gameplay for years (still do) and me being an edgy middle schooler at the time also liked the gore in Yandere Sim. I lost interest because of how lazy he is and the drama videos I’ve seen. I’m pretty sure at this point that KZbinrs who played this are also losing interest.

If big-name KZbinrs didn't play the game it would be nowhere right now, the progress would be the same cause yandere dev goes at his own painfully slow pace no matter what. From my limited knowledge of coding, it should be done years by now if yandere dev had commitment to the game. The problem is in yandere dev's work ethic, he values his personal image over his game. His image is disgraced but if it means he can get one person to like him, he would kill. Although maybe he isn't completely braindead, maybe he's purposely stretching this out to gain attention and more attention means more potential supporters and that means more potential assets. He's a special case to say the least.

Honestly, its just sad how yandere simulator has gone. I used to love it and the concept of it was great and the idea of it is still great. but yandere dev has just been shitty person. If you're going to make them like that, then change the nurse and teacher rival to a student nurse and student teacher. The student nurse wants to become a nurse someday, so she spends a lot of time in the nurse's office, helping out and is always trying to take care of other students. The student teacher is one of the best students in the school. She has the highest grades in all her classes, with everything that's been going on, Senpais grades have been dropping so she ends up tutoring him to help him get his grades up again. Boom.

I mean I feel like the game is a great concept, it’s just the fact that yandere dev is trying to fill out too many orders all on his own, when he should’ve just added in Osana already and made it a demo. Like I get that he wants to try and make things perfect and crap and make everyone like it, I think that’s every game developers goal, but at the same time developers have to come to a realization (especially yandere dev), that they aren’t going to satisfy everyones needs, wants, and desires. Like in my opinion he should’ve added in the rivals and main interesting stuff at first, and then try to work out the bugs, and add in easter eggs if he wants.

Bruh I used to like it too tbh I knew it through and through he *really* thinks he can just have volunteers remake the models and animations from scratch but that would probably take a full year especially because he’s loosing subscribers like I lost my brain cells watching his hate and shame video speaking of that I feel that the situation in the video he was describing is actually pretty realistic and it definitely happened to someone but... not him. He tries way too hard to play the victim when he’s really not. He honestly treats his volunteers like tissues. 99% of the game is unity store assets or just straight up stolen. I remember he even stole the textures for the grass. He just poorly scribbled out the artist's name. He always adds stupid Easter eggs and his excuse always is that “it takes 30 seconds”. 30 seconds my ass. He has as added as much Easter eggs, hairstyles, hats and accessories to the point where there’s more pointless content in his game than there is grains of sand in the world. He also says it makes him happier to work yandere sim. Honestly when you’ve gotten to the point that you make dead content just so you keep yourself working you need to take a break. He says he can’t because it would “kill the hype”. I’m sorry? What? You’re acting like there was any hype to begin with. It was only popular because a bunch of big you tubers played it. And not even for that long it lasted like a year. And those who still played it years after are also starting to play it less and less. For example: Kubz scouts. He said there was nothing to do in the game. And it’s true. He’s not making any progress. And with that all said, Alex is not going to be able to finish it alone. He needs another person to help him with the coding but I doubt that they will after they see what he’s done to other people he's worked with.

Dexter Pollard, I don't think all of the rivals are already finished. Yandere Dev is only cleaning up the game for OSANA. The first Rival. He isn't even finished with first rival! And there's about 10 rivals. He's only cleaning up the game to make it seem real and make it good for Osana. So there's basically, like, 50 years left of the game left to finish. So none of the rivals are finished and the game is never going to be finished. BTW, where did you hear that all of the rivals are finished and he's just 'cleaning up the game'?

Something i realized before is that if osana is taking this long the other rivals are going to take longer and another thing i realised was when osana is realised we are going to be happy for a week or two and then we will be begging for amai (the next rival) and this will repeat in a painful cycle until the game is finished in like 30 years.

As a former "volunteer" I have to say that getting out of that all was the best possible choice. It sounded so cool and fun to be supporting someone online and to have some validation that your talents have value. It was like "Wow, this is really something I'm part of!" and at the time it was hard to realize that helping him had consequences. You have to do twice, maybe thrice, as many things as he requests for him to even use a minimal amount of what you've made. The amount of times he'd put peoples' progress up on that wordpress document only to take it all down and re-request it was way too high and it should've triggered warning alarms. My friend and I ironically found each other by sharing the same experience-- of Dev promising a position, requesting lines, and then dumping us out of nowhere. Our experiences as a man and woman were night and day when it came to how Dev referred to us. With me,, he'd be positive and praise my work and provided me with specific lines he wanted me to say. With him, he'd be overly critical to the point of him having to send over numerous takes with the only notes being "not this" or "do it better"-- which really screwed up my friend's self-esteem because he actually WAS someone with fair experience and range doing indie game work for projects. The end result was the absolute same, though. I had gotten cleared as a VA back around 2015 and he had a year later and we both waited for months with no updates only to find out that we were replaced and Dev wasn't going to even bother telling us. When we tried asking him what was going on that weird video came out about him getting overloaded by e-mails of people without talent. Really drove us up a wall and thankfully we had the common sense to step away. TL;DR is that everyone here in the comments has value that shouldn't be wasted on someone who won't appreciate it. Don't put yourself in a position where you're at someone's beck and call when they are just going to lie through their teeth and never hold up their end of the deal. You are worth so much more than people like Dev deserve. Don't let the same thing happen to you or else you'll really come to regret it.

I also made the mistake of liking Yandere simulator. My sister was watching a gameplay video on it, I saw her watching it and it was somehow something little me wanted to know more about it. Little me found Yandere dev’s youtube and watched a couple of videos. When I was younger I liked Yandere’s because I watched Mirai Nikki (Future Diary). So the game was very on brand for me. Eventually I downloaded and played the game. I watched almost every update video on Yandere dev’s youtube. Little me got a notification that he had uploaded a new video. It was about Yandere simulator merchandise. Long story short, I bought a hoodie, and in the process supported the lazy man behind the game. I eventually lost interest in the game, then I found out about all the lies and manipulation of Yandere dev. Every time I look at the hoodie I feel guilty because I gave my parents’ money to a man who’s using the money for his own greed.

I'm very sad about all that happened and how the game is never gonna be finished. I discovered Yandere sim when I was still pretty young, I just moved to another city, I didn't know much about KZbin and I was so into it. I loved everything about it, I even found interest in japanese and mangas because of this game, which led to me opening a manga club in my school and we did great project with multiples schools, some people got to dub an anime and some got to make a game, some even went to Japan all because I liked Yandere Simulator. I even won a trophy in my school and became quite popular. I grew up, I evolved, I found myself through that and I'm looking to integrate a literature school based on my japanese and english skills (I'm french). All of that and still no Osana, no proper game, bugs, pedophile drama and a terrible person on top of that. I'm honestly so disappointed in what used to be my favorite game

I feel really bad, because I wholeheartedly believe that Yanderedev has just lost his drive with this game, and he's just not allowed to stop making it or people will call it a scam. I've lost interest in things that I'm making and I can't imagine spending years on something with no big progress. It could really burn you out. My biggest advice for Yanderedev, is to get some help! Change the overall design plan, maybe even the design of the game. If he REALLY wants this to be a Hitman/Persona hybrid, he really can't do this on his own! At this point I'm hoping they'll be a future video where he says he finally got a team, or he's giving the idea to someone else who can finish it.
