I thought the Jacks were going "Rare !" with no new Actions on them for a Long while! Good Carch! thought they were keepers??? My PB was 3 kg. exactly and the next Day i got another 2 kg exacrly also! Ended up on my Dinner Plate with a couple of Friends! 😁Thanks ! Sammy for the Show! i do the Jacks witg a locked Drag ! Brutes , they are!

I fish a few creeks in the Fraser Straights and on the right tides regularly get 47 to 48`s. Fished over the holidays with my lads and a few friends and best 2 went 52 at 2.080 and 52 at 2.197. My 15 yr old lost out on that one but who cares... anything over 50 is a trophy in the creeks and that was his first.

That Jack looks just like our Mangrove Snappers here in Florida but we do have Jack Crevalle's that are huge up to 50 lbs and bigger!! But they prob look more like your GT's but smaller. I might add that the mangrove snappers are excellent eating😎🇺🇸

Jacks are probably a bit closer to a cubera, once they move out to the creeks they can grow over a metre

Mangrove jack are a different species (Lutjanus argentimaculatus) compared to mangrove snapper (Lutjanus griseus), and would be better compared to inshore cubera in size and fighting capabilities.
