To those asking how the lamp lights up the entire room, its due to the MAGIC of theatre! As long as there is a light source in the room we don't tend to question why the whole room is lit. Almost every single tv show you watch uses this, if they only used the light provided by the lamp you wouldnt see anything properly in the room.

Interestingly Halloween first really took off in the mid 90s in Australia in Melbourne which has the highest concentration of American and Cannadian citizens living there. In later years parts of Queensland, Adelaide and sydney started to also take it more seriously.
