One thing I like about Sammy J and Randy is how they both switch from one being the straight man and crazy one and vice versa. As seen here Sammy is the crazy one and Randy is the rational one. Any other show the puppet would be acting crazy with the human as the straight man, its nice they mix it up.

Iirc the chasing the ambulance part refers to Channel 7, the tv channel Kochie works for, trying to secure the exclusive interview with them literally as they’re trying to recover in hospital.

You can always tell by one of three ways: Either there's never one or two people laughing by themselves at things that aren't really all that funny (the way people do in real audiences), or the laughs always tell you when (and for how long) YOU should laugh, and they're always belly laughs from the canned audience. And the third way, which is hearing a laugh be repeated the exact same way during the skit/episode. American TV in the 60s and 70s always had this one particular male laugh that was just so weird... but it made appearances in many shows of the era. As a wee lad I wondered how he saw so many shows.
