Is it allowed to ride these Trails with motorcycles in the Uk? I see E-Bikers who ride crosswise through the forest where there are no trails, just because they can. I imagine people will use these things even more in forest and on trails just because they are silent. Really dangerous because you don't hear them and they destory the trails even more.

That's why you look where you're going. Pretty dangerous walking on bike trails. Rain is the number one destroyer of bike trails and mountain erosion. Goats and cattle have been carving trails through mountains forever. Horses are allowed everywhere, and their shit messes up trails.....and they're also quiet. Just like when you cross the street, you have to be aware and look. Electric cars and motorcycles aren't the problem. Mountain bikes have knobbies..they skid, carve, drag and dig their way down the hill...what's the dif ?? Nothing.

@@RandysRides A Single Trail does not equal a Bike Trail. The difference is scale. With E-Bikes the number of people that can get up the mountain has gone up tremendously. The trail now suffers on the way up and with E-Bikes getting more and more powerful that is only gonna continue. Suddenly you have people that weigh plus 100kg that can make it up a trail and down. Also no animals on Single Trails, if they were, like you said they would trample it into a horse path. There is a reason motorcycles are not allowed in the woods. The woods are the last place of retreat humans have, now with new technology these places get destroyed and occupied by even more hedonistic activities. The same wasteful logic of Sking where over 60% slopes have to be filled up with artificial snow is being applied to the last recreation area.

About the snapping chains, maybe some of the tooth of the chainrings are bent or warped, so the chain damages every time the cranks are turned.

Your jump bike chain snapping a lot could do with the back sprocket not being aligned properly, it took me a while and a trip to a local bike mechanic that I learned that, dude put the right spacers in it and the chain stopped snapping.
