Its amazing how music from maybe a remote temple in South India was sampled for heart of asia sample pack by a company which reached some Japanese producer through a CD with which he made a loop and was used by a Swedish rapper and now its the greatest hit. The vocals in the back are saying “NARAYANA” which is Vishnu, one of the three main gods in hinduism. Big ups Tracklib for discovering these stories in form of samples. Edit: Shoutout to Julian Caesar and pls checkout King RS's video " The Most Mysterious Sample in Hip Hop" for the full story

People have no idea how influential classical Indian music has been on music. Just in modern music - the Beatles, a lot of classic rock, Caribbean music (which has more modern genres downstream), electronic, etc etc.

If anyone is curious where the Asian sample is from The song is "Yamanelli Kanenendhu" I couldn't find who sang it for the sample you can find other singers performing the song edit:- For example, lookup "Yamanelli Kanenendhu" by Sivasri Skandaprasad, the same lyrics start at 0:05 in that video

How do you know? You sure?

@@merrillgeorge1838 yeah. I checked out Spectrasonics - Heart of Asia and looked up the lyrics. INDSNSKRT 29, 30, 31 are all from one song. Seems to be a Carnatic devotional song and it has been performed by many artists You can lookup "Yamanelli Kanenendhu" by Sivasri Skandaprasad and compare it yourself. The sample is from the very start

Correct , it's this song , very good advancement , maybe the female voice in spectrasonics is modified or maybe she is another singer

Julian_Ceasar and Fine-Effect7355 are the reddit users who found that it was on a really old sound effect service which has over 3000 voice sounds alone. They found the exact sample folder and the 4 samples recorded by the Indian women whos name I cannot be bothered to write. This took over 10 years to find and this video was posted 14 days after the 2 users posted their conclusion. They didnt want recognition, they just wanted people to know that tracklib did not work it out.
