First - Gonz, new subscriber in the last week or so. Thank you for doing these videos! I'm an Ableton user and appreciate these videos as I learn more about Serato Studio. Your last view on how Stems works is much appreciated and I'm glad I found this one! As a budding content creator myself showcasing tracks this helps me look into new ways of expressing creativity. Much appreciated!!

Man thank you for the kind words. It's really appreciated and thank you for watching. I use Ableton as well but Serato has been my main go to. I'm glad it's helping you stay creative. Keep having fun and keep creating Kei.

@@djgonz123 you covered what I have mostly been trying to figure out. It's probably just that I'm missing, but I'm struggling creating and arranging scenes in songs efficiently.

@@djgonz123 It's mostly using scenes. I am not used to them yet, especially limited to only 8 bars. Other than that, Serato Studio has been great, my favorite DAW so far

Need to add a feature to where u can actually trim the grid. Small part of sample continues to play with no sound after the sample que finishes. That grid trim is essential.

Yeah it works well. If you were someone that use serato sample before you can also actually bring that in as a plug-in to serato studio

literally happened to me today!! drove me nuts. I ignored it and exported the song and there was no spillover.
@djgonz123
@djgonz123 Жыл бұрын
On export you won't get spillover on the last scene of your song. However if you did need that bit of audio to end with a little bit more tail you would create one more scene the would be one or two bars more to get the spillover if needed.

This seems easier in Ableton. You just tell it how long you want the sample to be. Done!Less fidgeting with the sample.

Ableton does have it's chopping options that some like. Serato studio does give you the option to make sample chops for you with it's randomizer feature or using set slicer to make pre determine sections. I tend to go the manual route for me control but I always stress whatever works best for you go with that option

@@bboymac84 I agree I work with artists using serato studio because I'm real efficient with it however you are correct if you're working with an artist being efficient is crucial so if you know your way around whatever program you're using use that one

this is great, but is there any way to set it so that it creates those out points automatically at the next chop?
@djgonz123
@djgonz123 Ай бұрын
The set slicer mode would be your best option.Set Slicer: This mode creates up to 32 consecutive Cue points in a row with a set length, starting from the current playhead position. The length of each cue can be set using the beat value and the two left and right arrows. Cue length can be changed to several values between 1/16, and 16 beats, and adjusting the length will immediately reset all Cue points to match the respective setting.
