@@Davemechyo Dave, is it possible to get the Swarm sequencer to play/stop with the DT play/stop? If so, what’s the trick? I can sequence it using a midi track on the DT, but unable to get it to run the Swarm’s sequencer. It’ll also sync tempo of the sequencer when I run the sequencer by pressing the start/stop button on the Swarm. But yeah, play/stop on DT doesn’t play/stop Swarm’s sequencer for me. Sadness.
@Davemech Жыл бұрын
@@TRC_PNWgood shift while booting plugging in the power cable. Then make sure step 8 led is on, then press start. That’ll activate midi sync. The clock parameter will act as a clock divider. Around noon it will be at normal tempo. Cheers 👍

@@Davemech thanks - I have done that as described in the manual. #8 is lit but no dice. I’m pretty certain I’m using the proper midi adapter type…🤔

Thanks! Raindrops is a delay which is delaying the synth line coming out of the Quadrandid Swarm. The latter is a very cool little synth with all kinds of metal and glassy sounds.

Dave, this is inspirational work man, thanks for sharing! This really is pushing techno forward, away from the same old sample pack sounds. Just wondered if you have the Jomox Resonator? Ive had my eyes on this for a while. Would be cool to mangle some of those sounds through it.

@@Davemech Another quick question. I checked out a few other vids before your reply and I saw that you were using the Zoom H5 in those. Any pros/cons for using the Zoom over the Tascam or vice versa? Thanks. Love the Sampling vids. So creative!
@Davemech2 жыл бұрын
@@spooky_zoo cheers for using the affiliate link 🙏 good question. I currently own the zoom H5 and while the recording quality is a bit better I’m not in love with it to be honest. The tascam has quite a few things going for it: insane battery life, fairly cheap, surprisingly good quality recordings, very compact and light weight, and it boots quick and records quick. The zoom has better mics but battery life kinda sucks, it’s quite bulky and booting and then recording is too slow for me. And it becomes really bad when using bigger SD cards. Missed quite a few awesome sounds because of that. It’s also 2.5 times more expensive. I’m still thinking about selling it for a different recorder but not sure yet which one. I might actually go back to the dr-05. Because imho that’s better suited for quick and easy field recording stuff.

Gewoon uit nieuwsgierigheid. De hoge resolutie samples zijn mono. Is dat een bewuste keuze?
@Davemech2 жыл бұрын
Moet het nog even aanpassen op de product pagina maar de mono samples zijn 16/48khz. Reden is dat dit het format is dat Digitakt gebruikt. Stereo 16/41.1 voor samplers zoals Octatrack oa.
