Hi Sharon. All of your stitching is amazing. Love it. As a stitcher for over 30 years, I respect those who enjoy this great craft of ours. In the words of someone famous somewhere, "I ain't no finisher." Can't do it, and don't want to do it. I, like you, enjoy stitching. I have a lovely lady who does all my finishing and sewing for me.

It’s great to see you and your stitching back so soon! You have a lot to offer Sharon, I love your reviews and the way you customise your projects and that’s why I’m a very long time viewer of both your channels! Hope you get time to stitch during this busy time. 🥰

Thank you for another most enjoyable video. You have a great lineup of things to stitch, I have a similar batch. Like you, I really want to finish what is currently in progress. I would really love to see your stitching technique. I think cross stitch is similar to hand quilting-there are many ways to achieve the ultimate goal. Watching others helps one to hone their own stitching style. Thank you for offering to share yours.❤😊

I have serious regrets about not putting Miss Mary on Murky! It honestly never occurred to me but WOW yours looks sooooooo good! Mine is on a mustardy gold color called “Dijon” and I do like it. I’m so far overdue to work on her again!

Thanks Julie! I actually got my inspiration from your "Therza Goes Goth" color combo. I'm going to be stitching that too, I absolutely love the sampler and those color choices. Looking forward to seeing your Mary again! XOXO Sharon

I would be interested in knowing what is your favorite silk floss. Also how you store all your different silk floss. I haven’t taken the plunge with silk yet… my greatest barrier is having to find a different storage method from my cotton floss. I use thread drops with the floss pre-cut in 18-inch lengths. That doesn’t seem to be the best for silk.

My Favorite Silk floss at the moment is Needlepoint Inc. floss. www.123stitch.com/NPI_Needlepoint_Inc_Silk.html I'll answer your organization question on the next show! thanks for the question Suzanne.

I use EdMar #28 with 2 strands of DMC on 28 count. Of all the needles I have tried they are the easiest to thread. I don't know why they are so easy to thread, but they are kind to my 74 year old eyes and fingers!

I am a real stickler for symmetry. My kids say I can spot an off center picture on their walls from farr away without measuring. LOL. What do you do with samplers which were obviously stitched by children that have motifs which are off-center? For example, the Mary Ann Aldred one you show, had the house too far to the left. My inclination would be to center the house and correct the mistake. Would you or would you not do that with your stitching?
@samplerstyle Жыл бұрын
I like symmetry too! However, I stitch reproduction samplers true to how the original stitcher stitched them, mistakes and all, with the exception of verses (which usually eliminate). Great question! I'll talk more about this on my next show.
