You didn't read the video caption right! She wasn't saying it was plagiarism! She was saying it was annoying that people were calling it plagiarism because they used the sample. Go back and read it again.

Dreams com true is a remake rather than a sample. Sm is known for reusing their older songs in newer groups. Some others i know off the top of my head are candy-h.o.t./nct dream, be natural-s.e.s/red velvet.

For samples, "It's plagiarism if it's not cleared." For me, I think that's correct & I think that is somewhere in the laws. And common sense. Off the top of my head, what that usually means is the unauthorized sample is not in the public domain & not paid for, so the work is still copyrighted & infringed upon. It is somewhat similar & analogous to the modern-day culture of KZbin reactions, where strikes & blocks can be given if reacting to such copyrighted content. First off, I also listen to Tracker Mod & Chiptune music, for 3 decades now. Google those if you are not aware of them. Yes, I'm that old, heh. Those began in the days of the Commodore 64 & Amiga & earlier & then eventually spread to IBM PC's. The Amiga was one of the earlier, if not the first, commercial computers able to sample digitally as part of its features. Ensoniq synthesizers were one of the earliest affordable sampling synths in the 1980's. The funny thing is Ensoniq is the brainchild of engineers that developed the Commodore 64 after they left Commodore. Many in the music industry at the time were excited of this new tech, including in the hiphop community, when "sampling" used to be DJ turntable mixing in the era before digital sampling. The orchestral/symphonic horn/brass stab is one of the most iconic samples heard. In those early days, sampling was still a wild west & there were no legalities written yet, so people sampled other people's work, until sh*t hit the fan. In the tracking & chiptune community, there was a famous legal battle 15+ years ago that eventually spread news throughout the music industry. It was the Timbaland vs Janne Suni suit. To many listeners, including me, Timbaland not only sampled Suni's song, but it practically sampled a considerable length of Suni's song, which was in the Chiptune format that Suni made around 2000, about 6-7 years earlier before the controversy. A sample shouldn't really be that long anyway, heh. The lawsuit has its own Wikipedia page if you want to read more about it. The plagiarism was eventually settled out of court, even though Timbaland was still vehemently in denial he did anything wrong. That's kind of smug of him even though many could blatantly hear the similarities. Over the years, there have been many other sampling lawsuits made. Sampling laws today have gotten more matured now & so here we are where sampling has become a huge industry for the last 3 decades & KPop is one that uses sampling a lot because of its current nature as an electronic music production media platform, simply because the majority of KPop's formfactor is that of Singing + Dancing with a pre-recorded music/song, rather than a traditional type of band that implements Singing + Instruments as part of live performances by the band members. Not many other famous musical industries out there in the world applies singing + dancing a lot, but Broadway musicals & Bollywood do come to mind. Singing+Dancing in KPop pretty much began with Seo Taiji, the Father of KPop. But the ironic thing about KPop is that Seo Taiji is also a multi-instrumentalist, mainly in the rock/metal music genre, whereas KPop began as a pop/hiphop sound. It's a long story. Think about that, KPop formed as a pop genre, rather instead of a metal/rock genre. But perhaps, one day in a far off future generation of KPop, we might be able to see KPop evolve into one that also incorporates instrument-playing. We already see some of that today, such as with BTS playing guitar & keyboards. Even that one time where we saw JK on drums playing a simple drum pattern. That would indeed make it back full circle to Seo Taiji. And also even further back to the Jackson 5. It would be cool to see Redemption also can react to Seo Taiji, such as his early 1990's hiphop-rock tracks as well as Taiji's Nu-metal tracks from around Y2k. Anyway, I digress, heh, I know I veered off topic at the end, but it was also important for me to include it.

Whoever made this video doesn't even know what a sample is or the types that exist. Most of the samples listed, if not all, were offered for sale on dedicated platforms for producers to buy them. Regardless if the bpm or pitch is different, whoever used it has the legal right to use it. It can only be considered plagiarism if the sample is from a specific song, and the sound used in that original song is unique to that song.

@@rainbows5232 Yes it is, in cases of samples of specific parts of songs. All samples shown in the video are samples available for sale in sample packs, and are not for exclusive use. Multiple people can buy and use.

it's not evident in the video, and it doesn't really seem to affect this video in any way. People are allowed to dislike groups, and it doesn't seem relevant to bring up unless it negatively impacts the accuracy of their videos.
