A midi recorder would be great in standalone mode on PC as recording midi files and then exporting to a DAW could capture live jams and ideas with maximum sound fidelity , then bouncing down to audio files and save CPU usage. Using the standalone version of SampleTank3 on a 4K monitor is like looking at a postage stamp from the moon , so I hope they have made SampleTank4 work with higher resolution screens .

Can i use Sample Tank 4 as a VST? If so, can is use the effects also as VST effects with my favorite DAW? I once used ST LE with a saxophone sound and i really liked that sound and the reverb.

Not all of them, but if you have Miroslav Philharmonik, the sounds will load in ST 4 as well.

Does SampleTank 4 have any other skins available? This dark skin with low contrast letters is hard on the eyes. Everything appears to be in shadow.

Two questions please: (1) Are ALL the samples new? (2) Does ST4 Max give additional non-synth sounds or just extra synth sounds? I use 'real' instrument sounds mainly and don't need a plethora of synth sounds. Thanks!

The majority of the samples are new (hundreds of gigabytes in SampleTank 4 MAX for example) and you get a variety of additional sounds with the larger versions.

@@ikmultimedia How does ST4's scripting quality,compare...to that of Ni's K5??I have ST3...but the acoustic sounds(particularly the orchestral categories)...are of piss poor quality and I haven't used my ST3 in many years.I love Sample Tank's intuitive GUI layout...but if ST4's sounds aren't at least on par with NI's K4 sounds,then I will have to pass on the upgrade.I really don't want any part of ST3's libraries,as I want a completely revamped upgrade from all of that crap and only deal with ST4 level(assuming that the upgrade is reasonably improved.)

Any customer who purchases or receives any version of SampleTank 3 as part of a hardware or software bundle on or after November 13, 2018, will receive SampleTank 4 SE for free at release.Any customer who purchases SampleTank 3 SE, SampleTank 3 or SampleTank MAX on or after November 13, 2018, will receive the equivalent version of SampleTank 4 for free at release.
