Sampling and Composing with Ringing Rocks

I travel to Ringing Rocks in Pennsylvania to meticulously record and sample rocks in a field of boulders that ring like bells when struck with a hammer.

Love this. I'm just getting into the electromagnetic field recording using Soma and LOM gear. What mic's did you use for this?

Hi there. Thanks for the comments! The mic was just a cheapo clip-on contact mic from Amazon. (some off brand that I forget). I recently got the LOM Geofon and I'll be revisiting this location to take some really high quality samples in the Spring.
