Having a few hours free after arriving into Holmfirth, I decided to take a look at the Holme Valley connecting minibus services that tend to get neglected by enthusiasts. In our run from Holmfirth to Lindley avoiding Huddersfield centre, we sample buses from Stotts and South Pennine CT.

South Pennine CT are fast becoming more of Bus company than community transport scheme. With more and more routes. Rumours has it in Barnsley they are taken the X10 Barnsley to Leeds route from Stagecoach.

I’ve done plenty of stotts routes in both Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire. Love the company, friendly drivers and great fleets, It’s quite strange though going on small solos in huds compared to the G2s on the 343 in Greater Manchester. Oh and 100% agree that people should try sample local company’s like stotts. If I had to suggest a stotts bus I’d suggest there 54 plate solo it’s a true pocket rocket!
