Quick question: When you talk about the value of d'p you say it is "Module into the number of teeth". Does this mean to multiple the module by number of teeth? Essentially getting the pitch diameter?

Yes. d'p=mZp Where, m= module Zp= no. of teeth on pinion d'p= pitch circle diameter of pinion

Sw i what ? I mean which limiting force is Sw? Is it tangential or radial or actual force on gear? Which force is to be designed on wear strength basis please reply.
