- Does the water need to be full to work? - Are hot and cold water in the same tank? If so, is the transfer of energy in the boundary between hot and cold water not too much as to affect the effectiveness of the tank? - Is water pressure entering the system maintained throughout the water heater pipelines? -Water need to be almost full in tank otherwise air trapping may happen. -Hot and cold water is in the same tank to recirculate water again and again to collector to achieve required temperature. If you saperate hot and cold water recirculation problem may occur. - There is not much variation in pressure throughout system, slite variation may present to maintain flow of water.

Good explanation thanks.. I have a issue, when entering cold water every time when reducing the hot water from tank for applications then full tank will get cold because every time it filling with cold water. Or when releasing hot water to tank only it allows to enter cold water.

The total volume of the system is constant and filled with water. Whenever hot water is removed from the tank the same amount of cold water will enter the system/tank. When water is not removed, it circulate in the system continuously and water temperature increases continuously.

why the cold water and hot water kept in the same tank, what if we use different tanks for cold and hot water so that our hot water will be hot for more time if unused because of the no heat transfer to cold water, why we don't do that?

Yes, we can make arrangement as you have mentioned. Actually there are various types of solar water heater. I have mentioned only one type, there may be different arrangements than this.

Actually we will pour hot and cold water in the bucket they will be mixed right .... why here in the tank doesn’t mixing hot and cold water?

When we pour hot and cold water in bucket, velocity, inertia and momentum is high and hence it get mix with each other. In the tank of solar water heater the velocity of cold and hot water is very very less actually it is at micro level ( such kind of velocity can be observed in the water when we heat water in pot by using normal gas stoves). So because of micro level movement of water it doesn't get mix with each other. Hope you got it.

When hot water is poured in bucket with cold water , then it get mixed, but after some time, if u check temperature of bottom and upside ,it is different. But as hot water prefers to be upside when we put our finger we feel hot

What if cold water is directly conncted to solar collector? Due to both cold and hot water in same tank . This will reduce heat in the night. Proper insilated water tank can store heat till next morning.

If you connect cold water to the collector, you can recirculate the water and hence we may not achieve the expected high temperature of the water.

Ok so water is heated because of sunlight and water moves from lower to higher region due to density difference & (without any external motor ) . Also hot water has less density and moves up, whereas cold water has more density and stays down.

Water will not be heated in night time. Water is heated throughout day, will be stored in insulated tank & can be used in the morning for bathing. It will work in winter or rainy season but temperature of output water will be slightly less.

Does the system need to be circulated or vented…….will pressure get too high. I’m only looking to bring up water temps from lake water ( 10C ) in order for the water heater to not be using a lot of electricity. Just warm water for laundry……but the system may sit for a few days before being used. Does it need to be moved or vented ? Thank you !

No, There are safety measures included in system to avoid damage. If water temperature goes above certain temperature then circulation of water to solar panel is stopped and further heating is restricted.

if I close the intake of cold water in summertime and keep it unsued to avoid hot water formation. is it good for solar panels efficiency? only hot water for a long time in the water tank will form steam. is this steam dangerous for tank and pipes?

It is quite dengerous for system and human being near to system, bcoz if you close intake valve of cold water, there will not be circulation of Water. Temperature of water already available in the system will increase and it will form steam. If you maintain same situation for long period the steam temperature and pressure increases to high extend and may cause blast. To avoid blasts safety valves are used.
