Heard this song the first time on a show just over a month ago when Sam broke out his accoustic guitar. I know that this song is supposed to be about a friend from the past. But it means something different to me: (a fear of) losing a lover. The voice and the sounds in this song made me feel exposed (I may be weird), as if someone was telling everyone what I was feeling inside. It is my favourite song now. There hasn't been a day since my husband and I saw the show that we haven't hummed one of the Sam Roberts Band's songs. I wish you also added No Arrows and An American Draft Dodger In Thunder Bay to your line up. Sam is a talented song writer and the boys played great instruments. I wish they have received more recognition.
