Intermediate Windsurfing - How to Beach Start

👍 That beach start was well described as it was being performed, and as it's of great benefit to see the process of the same whilst it's in progress it enables beginners to learn the techniques more easily. I'm fully aware of this as I ran my own Windsurfing school during the mid 1980s and I'm still very keen on the sport.

Great tips. I remember first learning to waterstart. What a day that was when everything finally "clicked". Wish someone told me to put the right leg up on the board. A few tries of front leg up, back leg kicking in the water(which leads to shin kicking the trailing edge of the fin)....still can't get the dents out of the shin.

When I try this in waist deep water I end up tilting backwards and sinking in the sand when I try to get my foot up, am I not flexible enough?
