Ridiculous for not having the main creative director who came up with Toy Story, John Lasseter! John Lasseter is going to blow Disney/Pixar away with Skydance Animation movies.

Well, John Lasseter was not the only main guy that came up with Toy Story, sure he was the director, but the group that came up with the characters and story for the film was John Lasseter, Andrew Stanton, Pete Docter, and Joe Ranft. Considering the allegations against John Lasseter (that were, for the record, more than just hugging, I'd hate to go into detail about the list of stuff he did, nowhere near as bad as the other people that got called out in the metoo movement but its still bad regardless) that got him fired, it makes sense Disney kinda just doesn't want anything to do with him at this point. For me, its bittersweet because on the one hand, John Lasseter is no longer there after screwing up his reputation, but at the same time, Andrew Stanton and Pete Doctor are still able to celebrate their contributions as the writers, creators of the story, and supervising animators that helped make Toy Story into what it is. Lastly, as for Skydance Animation, it seems like John Lasseter's involvement in projects is actively hurting films being made down there due to him trying to "Disney-fy" films as much as possible instead of letting the artists make their film, Luck being an example of a complete director change to a Direct to DVD Tinkerbell Director and a complete destruction of the films original concept of a war between the forces of good and bad luck. Skydance only has two animated films under their belt, and both seem to be forgettable for critics and audiences and seem to be touted as Pixar-wannabes, granted Brad Bird is directing Ray Gunn so we'll see how that turns out. It honestly seems like Skydance is scared of even saying John Lasseter's name since they keep doing the same song and dance routine of saying "the visionary behind Toy Story and Cars" because they probably believe saying his name will hurt the company. (Side note: people keep saying his departure from Pixar hurt their films, which is weird because when he was still in charge of Pixar, he was responsible for the sequel era of the 2010 decade for the studio that made most people believe Pixar lost their touch, so people saying Pixar lost something when John Lasseter left are sorely wrong in that regard.)
