I bought the 55QN90A (VA panel) version. There are extremely high light bursts (diffusion) on the edges, whether in subtitles or text in dark places. Is there a method I can solve this problem? If I make these settings, will my problem be solved a little bit?

HDR is meant to be viewed in an almost pitch black room. For SDR content, adjust the brightness as needed during the day as it adjusts the backlight brightness solely.
@Dezzyyx
@Dezzyyx Жыл бұрын
@@sakumisan makes no sense, HDR is super bright, you wouldn't want that in a dark room, you'd want less brightness. I turn down brightness as much as possible as this TV is like the sun and I game in almost darkness. Also it's weird how the brightness on QN95 adjusts actual Backlight, not brightness. These are 2 different things. Brightness usually refer to picture quality, blacks etc. Backlight is the actual brightness. So why does "Brightness Optimisation" adjust brightness when it's actually Backlight. OR at least it says it adjusts the brightness, because you can put "Minimum brightness" that the TV will adjust itself to. Even if this actually is BACKLIGHT. Probably bad wording then. Not just that but TVs should have an option for both brightness AND backlight, so I'm confused why on this one it's only 1.

Hi, wonder if you could help please, I've just purchased a Samsung QLED60A 43 inch 4K smart TV, we've notice that some KZbin videos when we press play look really dim, we have to stop & go back to the KZbin menu, press play on the same video, then the video returns to normal brightness, this only happens now & again, with no change to the lightning in the room, one KZbin video will look fine then the next looks really dim, this doesn't happen watching movies or normal TV, do you have any advise please, many thanks...

First Rtings with the Movie setting, now AVForums. I was looking forward to this video but I’m sorry, this is horrible. I don’t understand why the AV professionals insist on making these $2000 TVs that have great brightness and colors that really pop look like a TV from 2007. Filmmaker mode is about the most awful picture setting to choose and these so called “director’s intended” settings are crap. Again just keep your tv from 15 years ago and that will give you a perfect ancient director’s intended picture mode. I want to be able to enjoys the brightness, colors, and all the good technology that’s inside this tv. YesI know there’s different strokes for different folks(or purists I should say), but I’ll continue to look elsewhere for settings as I don’t want my awesome QN90 to look like my parents 2004 TV.

Sometimes it also depends on the content, in which case you just have to adjust your settings. Example, I was watching the Terminal List on Prime Video in HDR10+, which it should have emitted beautiful picture quality. But it is we’ll known the director intended for it to be darker content. So, I turned off HDR on my streaming device and watched in SDR. Huge difference.

On QN95A Dimming should be "Low", according to most people and even my calibration sheet for the TV says so. Also it's weird because the Backlight option on QN95A is the same as the Brightness option, which it shouldn't be. According to most sources "Brightness" affects picture quality, like blacks. Backlight however, ironically, is the actual brightness of the TV. So I'm confused why QN95A has one option for both. Let me explain. On this TV go to "Power and Energy Saving" and find the option "Brightness Optimisation" . This option "Automatically adjust the picture brightness based on the ambient light level". This is the definition of Backlight. Yet as you can set the minimum Brightness level that this option can adjust to, it's like this option is adjusting the Brightness setting, which again is strange if we go by the definition that Backlight and Brightness are two different things. Still it's clear that this is the Backlight option on QN95A, because there is no setting called Backlight or Ambient whatever. It's just "Brightness Optimisation". EDIT: Also confused why you're using "All Sources". My PS5 is HDR, my PC is SDR, so I want different settings for each source. In this video you're using different settings for SDR/HDR, but how can that apply when you're using "All Sources"; then settings will be the same regardless. "Current Source" makes individual presets, for say SDR and HDR.
