The Samsung A31 is cheaper than the Samsung A51 and from a budget point of view, I think you should consider picking up the Samsung A31 instead of the Samsung A51. The Samsung A31 matches the Samsung A51 in build quality, performance, display and beats it in the battery department. The only reason why you should pick up the Samsung A51 over the Samsung A31 in my opinion is if you want a better camera experience.

A51 has a better chipset, a better camera and a better screen (gorilla) than A31. This is why A51 cost more than A31. The only plus for A31 is the better battery.

Thank you for your honesty in this comparison. I was thinking of buying the A51 but I see that there are no big differences between the two. The only thing I need in the phone is a battery to support the day of use, 128gb of memory and take decent photos. My budget was for the A51 but with the devaluation of the currency in Argentina now I have enough for A31. It will be a good buy I see. I don't lose so much compared to the older model.

Yesterday im looking to upgrade my phone, Vivo V15 6gb ram with helio p70 chipset. Both A51 and A31 8 gb variant are in front of me. I check the chipset. A51 has Exynos 9 Octa while A31 only got helio p65 that is lower than my old phone. I picked A51 without hesitation.

I noticed that the dimensions of that two phone are almost the same and that the design is pretty much the same. I'd like to add that I already have a phone case for my a51 which I use for daily basis. The a31 case I am looking to get is more for fancy occasions (the kind with Rhinestones etc) so it'll be on my phone only on parties etc, not the entire team so things like volume buttons etc do not need to line up exactly. I just need to know that the cover won't fall of or anything like that

I don't know when the comparison on versus was done but if you go and look on versus, currently, the Exynos 9611 is rated higher. If you look at how they will age the Exynos looks like it is a lot more promising for the future compared to the P65 that we have seen for a while. If you do a side by side open apps it is so marginal that it might not make a difference but the Exynos is known to be slightly better. I don't know if the RAM choice made a difference in this comparison.

Though exynos is known for optimization problems like the A34 vs A54 considering both of those phones are like the big brothers of these old phones.. A34 Which uses mediatek runs more better and optimized on games than the A54's new exynos 1380... Though Exynos 9611 and helio p65 highest scores on antutu in nanoreview is 22-23k so.. They're not that far apart.. Plus theres a new phone (not a samsung brand) which uses helio p65.. Though the exynos 9611 last phone probably is the A51 or M31s
