There really isn't much here apple holds around 30% of all phones, meaning 30% of smartphone users use ios. While samsung and other Android phone manufacturers may not be able to sell as much as apple. So the iphone is the most popular phone. However Android still holds the rest of the entire smartphone user base meaning they hold around 70%. Google doesn't care if you switch from pixel to any other Android device or vice versa. They couldn't care less as you are still using Android. This may explain why iphones have such predatory behavior such as the e-sim in the USA which is effectively there so it's harder for you to switch to Android and other things like that..
