As a Galaxy S23 Ultra user, I'm proud with how Samsung keeps innovating in things like the cameras. The periscope camera with 10x optical zoom is a game changer that you don't think you need until you really have it. In many cases, people around are even jealous of me for being able to capture things that iPhones can't even see. And recently in some BlackPink's Born Pink concerts in Southeast Asia which prohibited professional cameras, some people even have S22 and S23 Ultra for rent, because iPhone in large music venues is just trash if you don't have a seat near the stage.

the funny thing is, for me, my android which is 3 years old (or about to be), hasn't lag at all. it's also a flagship...but I think, most people don't know how to do upkeep on their devices. For myself, I always clear some cache (i automate mine), and on android, like windows, you need to restart it from time to time. IF you're using an old mid ranger that uses emmc as the storage , then don't bother, it will lag due to the limitations of that storage system. UFS 3.0 and above, are really good. Apple has been using nvme SSDs on their iPhone and they don't truly go with multi-tasking as Android does, which can be detrimental if you don't control it, but for a person like me, i like that sort of power in my hand . iPhone, i get so so bored and I can't use it the way i need to when i need to. but if i didn't need to, meh, why not with a second hand iPhone . My issue with Apple is the whole "let's keep you locked up in our ecosystem." I think most people would prefer to use Apple/iCloud for their notes, mail, backups, etc but at least give people the option of having these on other platforms. Samsung does lock you in with their apps as well but they have deep integrations into Microsoft and Google's ecosystems that gives you the flexibility of switching. Another example is voice assistants: on Android/Samsung, you can select between Google, Bixby but we are only left with Siri on Apple.

Or maybe people just have a certain use case for a phone and prefer the most power efficient option? Traditionally, Apple beats out Samsung in battery life. Samsung have improved a lot in this aspect due to the new Qualcomm SoCs being power efficient. However, Apple is likely to redesign their battery and cooling solutions for the 16 pro. Not to mention, Apple silicon beats out Qualcomm every time. I'm saying this as someone using an s22 ultra. I'm strongly considering an iPhone 16 pro. Reason being: the AI features may finally turn siri into something useful like Google assistant. There's lots of little things going on here. You can't just call people sheep. Maybe you're the sheep? You obviously aren't understanding where a lot of the benefits of an iPhone lie. The way you're saying it's a cult is rude towards people like me who put thought into the tech they buy, or just ordinary people who have a preference for something. Get over yourself.

In terms of storage android is better btw. This is due to our ability to use SD cards to extend our storage (I have 128 gb on my phone + 32 gb sd card)and this card can be used in many phones kinda like a cloud (I have used mine in three phones so I have got there files from when I was a kid).The downside of sd cards though is that fact that from passing phone to phone you can corrupt files,but in my experience I only had two corrupted files👍. In addition to this, we have google drive, which is our "icloud". Have I also mentioned that my iPhone user cousin told me android users can also have apple accounts bc in order to create them it's just needed an email, therefore we can also have access to many apple services😏??

Me who switch from samsung to iphone Recently I can say iphones dosent have lag issue which is the no.1 factor why i switched U are getting 5years of os upgrades and more secured than android Tbh till now iphones seems more user friendly for me and my point of view Samsung is no doubt good brand but recent years they dont build much more good looking handsets like glass back and fine quality which they build way back in 2015s now they use plastic backs And dont forget ios has a chipsets I play graphic intense games and i dont see any lags on ios but on android after few months it starts lagging thats why for now my opinion is iphone is btr for long term use untill and unless u wont break it 😊

Samsung or any foldable looks crap tbh (personally used fold the crease looks cra* and worst when you start using) specially because of the quality of it a qualitative person will never recommend these type of craps. Thats why iPhone have a great market years onward and Samsung crashed just after a month or two after their flagship launches. They are trying hard to meet iPhone quality but still didnt achieve it

Simple answer to this is it’s ecosystem. It’s simple, relatively safe and easy to access and sync to multiple device. Even through Android devices. If Samsung can create such seamless eco that even support previous2 devices, it will be game over for Apple

And here me out here, people says that Apple is an American Brand But it is a nonsense when no components are made in USA Which is ironic because most people percieve apple as an American company yet it doesnt have a manufacturing capability, only depends on other manufactures like Foxconn while Apple just do designing instead …. That’s why i perceived Ford and GM as the real American while Apple is not albeit it has software capability but still samsung has it’s own too like One UI ..

I prefer Android and Samsung. But Apple has one thing I can't do without, Apple News+ which for $10/mo gives you access to almost all the news and magazines e.g. WSJ, Atlantic, Vox, Forbes, Bloomberg, news papers (LA Times, SF Chronicles for me, a Californian), and all the major magzines (TIME, Newsweek, SI etc). Sure I can't consume everything. But I hate clicking on something and it says please subscribe.

Personally, Apple works the best in my niched scenario for one thing: Suica. As someone who travels to Japan a lot/intends to move there in the future, Suica being integrated on my iPhone is so seamless and easy to navigate JR/Metro lines, as well as being a "cash" option to use for payments; you can also load it with an Amex/MC, so you get points on top of that. Also for me, I just like how iPhones work without issue. I'm still on a Xs Max and it's going strong, but the 15PM with USB-C is definitely something I'm looking forward to this year

Apple only has 4% of the market in India. But they have all of the profits from the market. While other manufacturers are selling their devices aggressively with big discounts promos trying to move as much inventory as possible. And there’s Apple taking all of the profits. When Apple launched the first iPhone, they’re goal was only capture 1% of the market, because that would still be profitable. That’s still holds true today. Ignore marketshare as long as profits are up. Other manufacturers are racing for the bottom like what happened to the Windows laptop market as well as the printer market. I didn’t even know until recently that Samsung discontinued the J Series. So whatever Apple is doing, their business practices are the best. They know how to run their company. Samsung, the mobile division in this context, is just one part of the company. The entire Samsung corporation isn’t competing with Apple. Only Samsung Mobile is competing with Apple. And Apple is a big customer of Samsung Displays. Samsung Semi sometimes manufactures Apple’s chips. So it’s a symbiotic relationship. Samsung Displays and Semi needs Apple to keep production cost low. As Apple subsidizes the displays on Galaxy devices as it’s cheaper to manufacture in larger scale.
@sonofage Жыл бұрын
true that. but man, if i get 1% of india or china's market, i can retire in my own island. in my country , apple takes up 30+% of the market share, the android side, while collectively, is larger, but separately, they're not even close to 30% each. Samsung is now number 1 for android in my country, followed by xiaomi but having apple's marketing business strategies is a powerful tool to have. I personally don't trust any company fully because after working for IBM , i realize that they have a lot of resting on their laurels syndrome and i see it with Apple too but Apple has that one thing, the ecosystem lockdown. it's ironic especially in the US, where they would fight to wear a mask but hell, they'll love to be stuck to 1 brand ecosystem prison. lol. anyway, you're right, it's onyl samsung mobile that is fighting with Apple and the likes. it is a symbiotic relationship. likewise, apple's manufacturing with china. that funnily enough, didn't get any sanction whatsoever.

Apple has hype on the highest level ever. the perception is that they only create "amazing products" and that they're a luxury brand. People's need to show off is very apparent. While, I personally don't think all apple users are like that, i still see many smug ones and then they try to flex to someone like me, who never buy into big brand loyalty but buys tech for what it is, tech. I fear Apple taking over mainly because they will lock down any potential innovation from others to ensure that they are number 1. Like how the US sanctions competition, like that. I'm no fan of china, but man, the speed that Huawei was at, scared the shit out of samsung and apple. I knew more people jumping to Huawei at the time, then i did Apple or Samsung. Samsung was already losing ground in my country but now, on android side, they're number 1...when huawei existed, samsung and apple felt like they had to innovate...now , they don't. Samsung does try a hell lot more. Apple is aimed at casuals first . honestly, even their cameras to me ,are just fine, but if you like social media and can't work a phone, i suppose, iPhone is good enough. btw, this comes from a guy with a macbook

Just a reminder, phone's were originally developed to make calls... Its not that deep 1.If you want a bigger battery-get off your phone you dont need to be spending more that 5hours on your phone daily 2. Gaming-get a gaming console or pc if youre so obsessed with games its a phone not a toy 3. 3rd party apps,widgets,customization,split screen- i promise you, 90% of android users i know dont even use any of these options And most importantly ITS JUST A PHONE its not that deep, there are better things we should be worrying about ie wildfires,wars etc.

6:30 regarding this : apple is also becoming affortable(lol) 🤑🤑 you know there are base versions of apple something which don't have a tag called PRO people in india buy 1 generation old phones during discounted sales(by ==flipkart== owned by ===wallmart===) so basically you can get 1 generation old non-pro base iphone for 600 dollors which is reasonable (any way there will not be any innovation) all they get is effecient and faster processor(it's not a big surprise phones with snapdragon 8 series processors are faster, effecient and in india before 2020 we can get that phone as cheap as 350 dollors but now times has changed phones with snapdragon 8 seris processors are costly) at that price you can't even get samsung , oneplus, MI, iqoo, vivo or oppo with ULTRA or PRO versons

{Not an Apple Fan Boy} The innovation that Apple has done recently is Vision Pro. Hear me out, it really could be the future as we have already seen in black mirror (similar to it), not like ready player one (not in the near future). If the vision pro really does all those things as shown in the same way and smoothly, and THE PRICE is brought down significantly in the coming generations. It would be one of those products that will be considered an innovative product.
