I've had to register and everything, but just to say thanks to you, and folk like you, who take the time to show everyone stuff. Y x

If the screen does not work after replacement, either one of two things occurred. (1) The metal retention clip where the ribbon goes into is not all the way snapped down or the ribbon is not fully seated. (2) Either the LCD is defective or the main board or the lens is inoperative. If you replaced the lens as well, make sure the ribbons are fully installed and secured. This could do it too.

I was so surprised too the first time I tried. Made me glad I didn't go to the camera store and spend un-necessarily. Glad it helped.

I repair and resell digital cameras and find Samsung to be one of the simplest to work on. Some, however are a little more tricky. That is why I ask. If I have the camera, I can do a video for you to show you step by step.

Hi. I’m planning to modify my samsung es70. I’d like to make it dual screen of the same size. Is there anyway I can do it?
@arden29811 жыл бұрын
Yep. They are just as easy as that. Go onto EBay and type in "Samsung SC-X210L LCD" and see what comes up. You will see different ones listed with different prices. Good Luck.

Hi, Thank you for your prompt answer! As suggested, I tried searching on eBay and Google, but I couldn't find a link to a replacement lcd for my Samsung SC-X210L camcorder. Would you happen to have such a link? Thank you again for your time ,,,

hello I have a Pl122 and can't find a replacement screen anywhere, how do you know what screens are compatitable with your make and model
@arden29810 жыл бұрын
I have found the best way has been through listings on EBay. There are several companies who have stores you can gain access through from their listings. You can go to their store site and enter in your camera type and if there is an LCD for it, it will list. You can then use that number or series and shop for the best price.

Hi, Just loved your video, thanks. The lcd screen on my Samsung SC-X210L Camcorder has stopped working, is it as easy to replace and if so, where can I get a replacement screen? Thank you.

Hi I have a Samsung WB800F digital camera and all of a sudden my screen went white. I can't see any of the display, it's just like there is a white light in the menus place. Could my screen be bad or what do you think it could be? Thanks in advance
@arden2988 жыл бұрын
Newer cameras and those with the touch screens are a different beast. It sounds like the screen in yours has gone bad. If it happened on a hot day, it overheated and went out.
@Bychance378 жыл бұрын
+arden298 Okay and thank you for getting back to me. I realized last night that I paid for an extended warrenty and still had the receipt! I am so happy about that.

I checked my sources and ran into the same wall you did. I was able to find pre=-owned camcorders, batteries and cables but it seems as if replacement pats such as the LCD screen are unavailable. If you were to contact Samsung, they could tell you if they had availability. Electronics like this are usually obsolete shortly after they are produced. The SC-X210L was produced about 4 years ago, which in terms of electronics is eons ago. I am sorry to say but your parts are unavailable.
@arden29811 жыл бұрын
Ensure you are using the correct size screwdriver. They should just unscrew. You apply enough pressure and slowly turn the screw counter clockwise (to the left) and they should come out.

Hi there, any idea if I need to replace the whole thing for an NX100 or if there's just a piece of glass to replace?
@arden29810 жыл бұрын
Hi Driverv86. I did some research and found that you can change the LCD out in the same way as this video. It is available on EBay for $26 as of Jan 14, 2015. Just go there and type in Samsung NX100 LCD and it will bring them up. This one is listed with free shipping too. They are really easy to change out, as the video shows. It will save you $$$ to do it yourself.
@driverv8610 жыл бұрын
Thanks arden298 it turns out that it's not a scratched screen though! It's the plastic cover over the AMOLED. This makes it even worse because I can't seem to get that part.
@arden29810 жыл бұрын
driverv86 I wish I had better news for you. I did some research about the AMOLED (active matrix organic light emitting diode) in your Samsung NX100 and from what I can determine, it is a manufacturer item. Samsung is the brand but guess where the camera is made? You guessed it. China. I do not know what to say. I am not sure if a standard LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) can be substituted or not. You can go to Samsung.com and write to the engineering staff for more information. Wish I had better news.
@driverv8610 жыл бұрын
No worries, thanks for the thought. I am probably going to pry off the plastic cover and replace it with a peel and stick protector.

Will this work with a ST205F? Thanks!
@arden29811 жыл бұрын
From what information I can find on the ST205F, the LCD has a large, wrap around ribbon. It looks to be more involved that the demonstration shown here. The best way to find out is to dig in and see what happens. Always be sure that when you start disassembling the camera that you are prepared for the event of not being able to repair it. The camera you describe is not a common camera and parts are difficult to find for it.

Tried to replace my screen, and it gets power, but it shows up being all white. It also does it to my old screen as well. Could it be because the little floppy bit is a little broken? How can I fix this?
@arden29810 жыл бұрын
If I understand correctly, is the little floppy thing you refer to the bar that clamps down onto the ribbon connector? If this is what you are referring to, this could be the problem. You will need to replace the circuit board is so. You can look on websites like EBay and find some good deals.
@adonist710 жыл бұрын
arden298 Oh no. There's no other way of fixing the camera? I can't replace the clamp, or use something to enact as one?
@arden29810 жыл бұрын
adonist7 If the bracket that holds the locking bar is intact, you could insert a new lock bar. BUT you will be hard pressed to find a lock bar. What type of camera is it? Have you looked on EBay to see if there is a circuit board available for it? I myself have had the bar pop out due to a bracket breaking. These are designed to place pressure on the ribbon strip to get the contact it needs to complete the grid for the LCD to operate. I have not found any substitute for one of these broken bars and have had to either procure a replacement board or retire the camera. I am sorry you are having this problem too.
@michellethompson73149 жыл бұрын
arden298 is the bracket a small black piece that is very fragile? Or is that a lock bar?
@arden2989 жыл бұрын
adonist7 It is a lock bar. Be careful when you raise it. Watch the video again real close. I show how to release the lock and re lock after the new screen is replaced. If it breaks, you need to get a new board.
