I just finished this repair. Did exactly as shown and it worked. $48 for element on Amazon. Took less than 30 minutes. If you’re doing this it’s a good idea to take pictures of stuff before you disassemble in case there’s a question about how to put it back. A+ video. FYI, my heating element was nearly burned into 2 pieces, just hanging together by a thread.

Great guide! My oven wasn't heating on bake, so I replaced the temperature element (couldn't find a multimeter small enough to test that bugger). That wasn't the issue, so I checked the bake element and sure enough it was reading zero ohms. Pulled it out using your instructions and it's definitely very, very broken. Appreciate the straightforward video!

Hey, thanks a thousand for posting this video Looking all over the web to see what might be wrong with my oven and was getting nothing but results on why my oven was not heating up to the temperature displayed. Was getting insulting/condensending results like "Check and see if your oven is plugged" or "Adjust the rack in your oven". None of the sites had anything that pointed to what it could actually be except calling the reader an idiot. Found your video and learned that the bake element was hidden. Ordered the part, followed your insturctions, and found out that mine had blown apart and partially melted to the bottom of the oven. Came out in 3 parts lol. Thank you so much, got a properly working oven again

Before checking element resistance/continuity I would remove the wire leads. Necessary? If testing the broiler temperature probe, are you looking for resistance or open circuit to indicate a good component? Heading over to brother-in-laws kitchen to help with this exact problem. Starting to think KZbin is like the training programs in The Matrix. Just download the skills you want to learn.

BULLSHIT!!!!!!! These things can’t be repaired. I followed the instructions to a T and once I got the old element out neither the new or old one would slide back in to fit the brackets. Ended up trashing the stove and bought a more reliable brand like GE
