@@Lacronh pretty much, phone companies want you buy new phones if you have problems with it such as slow performance, battery issues or any other problems. If you take it in. well they’ll say it’s beyond repair unless you take it in to repair shop

You got it! I remember somewhere I was reading the description on this phone and it said it came with a “non-replaceable” battery. That might have flown 10 years ago, but not in today’s economy. We’re forced to be a little more self-sufficient…lol

@@LacronhYeah, that made me so mad. Even if I owned a heat gun, I’d be scared I’d end up melting my phone. As it turns out, after trying unsuccessfully to pry the old battery out with the plastic tools that came with the new battery, I decided to use a small pair of metal surgical scissors and the damn thing started smoking. I was holding my breath when I got it all put back together, but she seems to be charging up. Hallelujah…lol

I haven't found any Samsung original battery, new that is, for sale on the web. I am reading the comment above that said this phone has an "un-replaceable battery". So my guess is Samsumg did not plan to ever sell replacements for this model and all we can get is one compatible with it by antoher brand (I see plenty on Amazon, all quite cheap too)
