My husband is turning 90 in a few days and I've ordered this phone to replace his flip phone. I have the Samsung A21 so am somewhat knowledgeable about smartphones at the old age of 87! (I don't think anyone realizes how much of a challenge it is!!) But I must say as I watched this video, I learned a lot myself. I think he will be able to get going right away with your video! My tech has always been a many thousand dollar piece of equipment on my desktop. If I wanted to run a phone app I'd use an emulator. All I ever used the phone for was to call 2-3 people. When my current pay-as-you-go service went the way of the Atarii 2600 I had to get a new service/phone. I knew nothing about it because my phones have always been burner basic up until now. Great and helpful video. Thank you.

The purchased the A12 yesterday and ended up taking it back to the T-Mobile store. Even though the battery was the best that I've ever seen the screen had a white haze screen when I was watching KZbin for long periods of time. My Samsung Galaxy J3 Prime has a 5'' HD 720p screen which is perfect for viewing videos for me. I will be getting the A32 instead.

Thanks so much for your videos. I bought my phone through consumer cellular and my last phone had videos on the CC website to learn about my phone, but they do not have them for this model. I was starting to become very agitated as the A12 is alot different from the Motorola I had before and I couldn't work my way through learning how to use it. I feel much better now. As someone who had no real need for a mobile other than calls & texts and the occasional pic with camera I was finally coerced into the world of apps last month and took my daughter's advice on buying this phone. I thank you very much for the tips, especially the fingerprint access which you made it sound far easier than a previous video I watched which had me believing I had to set up all sorts rather than just a simple pin, cheers. Just one question, where is this info stored, on the actual phone's storage or is it possible it could end up on my added SD card?

It's stored on the phone but you can add an sd card to store pictures and videos.

I must commend you on your video. Have just graduated today from a 3310 to this Samsung A12. And what annoyed me, was that there was no manual with the phone. I did not even know how to switch it on. I can go and do that now. The only thing I would have liked was more information on the camera - because I need to take photos. Do you have to switch from close up to ordinary or what? I see you have a part 2. Maybe I will find the answers there.
