I've got the Telstra prepaid Galaxy A15 4G. Like the fact it has a headphone jack, something the A16 and A16 4G lack. Mine's the 4GB RAM/128GB storage variant in Blue Black.

It doesn't do anything unexpected, so it's great for people who just want the basics at a modest price, while also having 4 major Android updates available for it to improve it's longevity. I've been looking at getting the 4G version of this phone to replace an old Samsung A03s with a broken screen for an elderly friend. According to GSM Arena, it has better WiFi, which should be great for improved connectivity with his nursing home, a better Super AMOLED screen that'll be easier on his eyes, especially with the blue light filter switched on, and better sound to go with the headphone jack for his over the ear headphones when listening to his talking books or his music. Finally, it still has SD card memory expansion, so his existing SD card with all his music and photos on it can be easily transferred across.

I have the a03s and replace it with the A15 4g, and it its a lot better than the old a03s but If you gonna buy it I'd recommend you buy the 6gb or 8gb.

It has Dolby Atmos and an equalizer. Which makes a big difference for people who listen to music with headphones.

Probably enough phone for people who "just want a phone" and a lot better than the pretty dire stuff that was going for the £100 mark in recent years. For my use at least 5G doesn't seem to offer much of a useful improvement ,I keep it turned off on my phone as it hammers the battery.

Agreed, it'll be enough for most. But those that want just a bit more their phone, there are better options I think!

Cuz my plan is ~ $10/mo ($119/yr prepaid) and is limited to 4G and it's all I need

Samsung makes incremental improvements ever year, so their isn't a really good reason to upgrade from the A14 to the A15, but if you have older phone such as the A11 or A12 it maybe worth it

@@ashdoestech i'm not sure yet.. Which one would you choose if you had to decide between A14 5G or A15 LTE?

Right now i have a Motorola G50 which i also bought after watching your review Its still really fast but its stuck on Android 12. And i wanted to switch to One UI. Dont like stock android that much with those big toggles since Android 12 :D

Have you considered an older Samsung flagship? They're often available for good prices and usually have better long term software support? I've got a few videos on those

@@ashdoestech ok sounds like a good idea. You mean S21? Or older?

I have two and they both slow,glitchy,freezing, and need to be restarted almost everyday fresh out of the box only a few days old with all updates and everything. Disappointed

That's a shame, but I have to agree. It is pretty stuttery. A shame considering I've used other phones with the same chip with no issues

You and the majority of phone reviewers are just way too spoiled imo. Ive never had nor ever wanted a flagship 2k phone. Its a phone..... Does it call? Text? Apps are snappy? It can play audio (podcasts in my case) via blutooth? Wow congrats thats good enough lmao. If i want to do heavy tasks ive got a high end gaming PC and a steamdeck, phones are NOT gaming consoles, nor can they replace a desktop PC or even laptop. This phone seems overkill for my needs and most likely many others needs as well.
@ashdoestech25 күн бұрын
That's your opinion. Not spoiled, just know what I value from a phone. Just like someone may value that 2k display for watching content etc, and not everyone wants a "high end gaming PC". Phones are more than just for calling and texting these days, that's just the way it is but just because you don't value the other bits, you can't push that opinion on everyone else. And this will certainly be plenty for most people, but for others not so much
