So it's been nearly 2 months with the Samsung Galaxy A51, and since so many of you were interested in the review I wanted to take some time to follow up on some new experiences I've had with the device and also see how it compares to all of the other midrange phones Samsung has released like the S10 Lite, Note 10 Lite, and more importantly the Galaxy A71. Any problems with phone signal Shane.I know somebody that has an issue with the antenna on their a70.Is a51 ok in that respect.I hear Samsung antennas can be a problem.I once had a used s6 and s9 I had return due to antenna issues.

I don't understand wireless charging. How is it any more convenient than wired charging?? If you ask me, it's much less convenient. Slower rate of charging + you can't use the phone while charging, unless you lift up the charging pad or maybe kneel down?

This phone has been amazing for me. The display is just gorgeous, and if you are not used to a flagship, this phone feels very "snappy" and fast. After one day of typical use, I'm still at 60-65% battery and it charges back to 100% in less than 30 minutes. Truly the perfect phone for someone who doesn't want to or can't spend the extra money on a flagship, and it looks so similar to the s20.

Darius III we’re taking about the camera design. And as for the build quality, just slap a case on it and that problem is solved. It’ll look exactly like the s20 minus the extra camera and the placement of the flash. And most people don’t even look in too deep so... yes, it looks very similar to the s20

I have an A51 I don't feel it's the fastest phone out there. But it does everything I want fine and haven't had any problems. Has good cameras and nice looking device. My only one real gripe is I can't move apps to SD card but I have plenty of space so that's not a big deal.

@@Zero_One_Official The only problem to me is it heats a lot during Fast Charging but since it charges fast I don't need to use it while charging. It also heats up a bit when using Mobile Data and under heavy use. Definitely, no hangs whatsoever.

@Oreo Muffin I would say it's still good so far. I'd say the battery is around 90% of it's original capacity. Still runs me fairly well throughout the day without having to charge midday. As for gaming, all I ever do with it is some light gacha games , rhythm games and only one performance taxing game (Genshin Impact). Gaming usually takes about 15% battery after an hour session. Daily tasks such as work and classes and social media are smooth sailing especially with the multi-window function. I have the 8gb RAM with the snapdragon processor model. I guess that's all. Hope I could clarify a thing or two for you.

I just ordered one of these last night. The A51 is currently $279. I was tempted to go up to the A71, but for $120 more I decided I really don't need it. If I was playing demanding games I might, but I really don't. The only thing I wish this had that it doesn't is dual speakers. I expect this phone to last me approximately a year, unless I see something else I like better. Thanks for the video, can't wait to get it!

@Oreo Muffin Heya - My phone feels BRAND NEW! It stills feels sleek and agile, and has a tonne of pep. I closely watch new models of phones as they come out, but I can't find a compelling feature that would give me cause to even consider an upgrade. The screen is AWESOME, the battery life is AWESOME, the storage is so massive I've given up on even checking occasionally .... if I was going to buy an all-new phone today, it would be another A51. @@fqa__6048 depends on what you mean by "zoom". Do you mean macro shots? Or do you mean talking photos of things that are far away? The macro lens is awesome, so your super close shots are impressive .... but the concept of "zooming" on a phone is a fallacy. All you're doing is taking a 48mp photo with a fixed-lens "main" camera and cropping. Yes, this will always produce a lower quality/res result ... because nothing has actually changed other than you're given the illusion of a physical zoom lens and what you're really doing is digitally cropping. My advice - go online and find a tonne of photos and video taken by A51 owners and let that guide your choice. For me - the camera array is GREAT, I love the WIDE camera in particular ... If YT would allow me, I'd start posting samples ;)

Hellcat i use it all day watching movies and it’s still pretty good. Battery life still remains somehow same but I think it slightly changes depending on how and how much you use the phone. It charges pretty fast tho so it’s not really a problem. however it’s kinda slow sometimes so I recommend it if you don’t mind it kinda lagging at times. also camera quality is not that great. Overall it’s still a good phone with a great design👍🏻

Samsung is releasing a phone for everyone, they have really high end flagship devices for those who really want a powerhouse type of device and the lower end models with still some decent specs and that I am totally blown away by the awesome prices.

51 Days Later with my Samsung Galaxy A51 at Area 51

Honestly speaking I will not look for a wireless charging feature and IP certification stuffs if my budget for a new smartphone is around 300-400 bucks unless I'm willing to get a used flagship from the previous years. However if I'm looking for a 2020 specs on a phone I would definitely consider some cuts such as the plastic build, lack of IP rating and wireless charging (which IMO is fairly compensated if you get faster charging than those "$400 phone" [not really $400 here but more like $580/₱26,500] with a bitten fruit logo on it). Samsung A71 actually just came out here for the unlocked variant though they've been on sale on a phone plan with the two existing carriers here in the Philippines. And finally they're selling it as unlocked as well. I would actually consider buying this for my grandma so she can return my second phone which is an iPhone X. Hahahahahahahahahaha! In all seriousness though I would be totally appalled giving her a non powerful smartphone cuz for her age of 72 (at the time of this comment) she deserves a powerful smartphone that's right on my budget with better AMOLED screen with virtually notch-less and good battery life. And at her age she just embraced the life of being a mobile gamer partly because of the boredom given to her by the quarantine period. I think A51 is an answered wish for people like me who wants to get their folks a really good smartphone without so much compromises but has limited budget for it. Maybe l'll consider A71 but maybe if the price gets a bit lower or around $400 (₱20,000) but for now maybe A71 is the best that I can get for her in the Samsung A series of phones that's within my budget.

I was considering the a51 first but bought the a71 for a sole reason, the processor. In my country the a71 runs SD 730G which should make the performance last for a couple of years without slowdown. Cant say the same about the a51.

The American version gets a Snapdragon. The A71 5G(American variant) isn't worth the extra money compared to the A51 5G.

I was going to get the iPhone se but I think that this phone has way better battery and that's what I honestly need most in a phone. A good screen and a big battery to do my edits. I have A51 and I'm happy with it. The cons don't matter that much to me, but I enjoy the perks. The additional pluses were for me: easy of transfer of all apps, files and settings (since I had Galaxy S5) and compatibility with good headphones from S5 (the ones added to A51 are a cheap crap). I love the display and the battery holds even up to 4 days! This is amazing.

I've been using this phone for about 3 weeks now. I have the 6gb model. For the price $299 I am very happy with this phone so far. The camera takes good pictures ( not great but for $299 I can't expect much more) the battery is more than enough to get me through the day to day and a half. The screen is gorgeous. I love that it has 128 gb of storage AND expandable storage, headphone jack and AOD. I just don't think you can go wrong with this phone

Thanks for the video. I bought A51 a couple of weeks ago but was tempted to upgrade to A71/s10 lite/note10 lite for no obvious reason. You cleared the confusion.

Great Video!!! ...Got the A51 for $75.00 on Amazon a week ago ...this thing rocks ...love their screens ...Jury is still out on Apple vs. Android in terms of smooth operation and simplicity...but I'm not what they call a power user ...setting up Android seems to me way more intense and time consuming...the amoled screen is way better IMO

I've been on the fence on this phone. Love the display. Love the battery life. Cameras are a hit or miss for me. It's by far the slowest app to open sometimes. Lots of times I get shutter lag. Probably cause I'm trying to take pictures of my son while he's playing. Pic in low light are ok and sometimes terrible. And video in low light is weird cause the camera can't make up its mind and the brightness keeps going back and forth mid video recording. But overall camera experience has been ok. That's me nit picking. I've decided to use this for a work phone and will probably upgraded in 6 months. It's a good price and don't want to pay anymore than I have to right now.

Thanks for your sharing your experience. Yes pretty much any samsung phone will perform better than this, but you'll be paying much more for it. This is a great all around device for the price

Yep. I wonder what went wrong my with my a51 camera. Everyone else and almosy every reviews i saw said the camera was amazing. Nonetheless screen and battery is a major upgrade for me

What I like about my A51: the screen, the size, the camera, its speed. What I don't like: the speaker, the battery. Dont get me wrong, speaker and battery is not bad, just if they had improve it abit it would be 10/10

Not sure where in this video you got the idea, but the phone does not lag. Taking 0.5 second more to load a page is not a lag lol.

@@Gladioli10 Yeah, based on this video it's not that bad but based on my experience of using a couple of Samsung phones in the past, the lag will slowly but steadily become worse as you use the phone more... my old S6 took so long to open important apps such as WhatsApp, GDrive, Instagram and even the Contacts app that it frustrates me on the daily, and it wasn't even a year old. While my LG is 4 years old now and even though there are some stutters here and there, the daily performance is nowhere as consistently laggy and sluggish as the S6 was. I was hoping to finally upgrade my phone and the A51 and the new OneUI seem promising, but I'll have to wait for more long-term reviews... or I'll just buy an older (non-Samsung) flagship with Android 10.

Here in the philippines the a71 is the better choice because it comes with snapdragon 730g instead of the regular 730

Well i only have the galaxy s6 at the moment because i havent broken it so no need for a new phone but im thinking of upgrading to the a51. My s6 is slow as hell these days and the battery drains in like an hour im excited to try a new phone but not keen to move all my music onto my new phone😂🤦🏽‍♀️

I'll advice you to go for the A51. The S6 will be like 5 years old this year..
