You forgot to mention that the front camera aren't that good with low light. I preferred my j7pro front camera with low light than my current A51 front camera. The j7pro had the regular flash while the A51 had just the screen flash which wasn't too good in low light plus it doesn't have rich colors on the front camera like the J7pro. Aside that, the front camera aren't that bad though and the back camera is great too with rich colours.

Looks like Samsung finally listened to Eric and brought out the Samsung galaxy a52 running on Snapdragon 720G. The price tag of the a52 looks competitive. It should do better than the a51. I have used the a51 for close to 11 months now and I can say without a doubt that the archilles heel of the phone is the weak exynos chipset. It made the entire phone perform very badly in many areas. It literally slowed down my life.

Hey Fisayo the A51 is a good device but in this current budget smartphone market when we have devices like the iPhone SE and Pixel 3a going for the same price. With the Apple device we are getting a guarantee of a speedy Smartphone with a good enough camera and with the Google device we are getting a solid camera and good enough performance, So what value do you actually think this device has over the two smartphones I just mentioned??

I have been using the Galaxy A51 for almost a mnth now !! the main reasons i bought it was because for the price i paid ($285) i was receiving 128gb IS, 6GB RAM, The camera was pretty good (but not extremely good) ,the screen size is 6.5 inches, the user interface was really good while the video and audio quality is really good!! overall i am happy for what i was receiving based on the price i was paying However i was expecting the battery to be slightly better and the fingerprint unlock should have been much better !!

Thanks! Unfortunately I haven’t used the P40 Lite but from specs the A51 seems to have a “slightly” better display and camera while the P40 Lite is better at battery life and charging speed with a slightly better processor. The rest are somewhat similar

Watching from my A51,You see that over heating ,that's what I hate about it. I've used this phone for 3 months now and I must say you did a good and honest review. In terms of the phone hitting up when using a mobile hot-spot, I believe it all get down to the type of network carrier you are using. Example I have noticed that Glo network tend to make my phone hot when surfing or even sharing hot-spot, I believe it is struggling with spectrum wave or signal while when I slot in my 9mobile , I don't experience such. Don't buy, they update like crazy and you'll never figure out how to fix the problems they cause with updating like hearing media (you have to factory reset), loss of memory, apps will not work as well as other issues, go with a phone a friend YOU know has and ask them.
