Good honest review. i like everything about this phone except for the horrible lag. I sometimes have to stifle the need to throw it off a wall when I wake it from normal sleep and sometimes have to wait seconds for my swipes to have any effect. Deeply disappointed and wish I had got the Pixel 6A

I sold my Samsung A53 and bought the Moto Edge 2022 for $140. It's much better in almost every way, except Samsung's front camera is much better I think, although I'm fairly certain it's just due to better camera software processing. The A53 has serious issues with its processor, and no, updates never fixed it. It plays even easy-to-run games like Omega Strikers at lowest settings WITH frame drops. I encountered severe slowdown every single time I multitasked with these three apps: Facebook screen share + Notepad + Gmail (my Moto Edge runs that combo perfectly, as it should.) I will never, ever recommend an A-series Samsung phone to anyone ever again. The Exynos architecture is just straight undercooked. IT'S RAW!!!!!!!!

I purchased one and I'm sending it back. Same issues as you discussed, but I felt the camera shots were overly saturated and grainy. So many good reviews for it on KZbin. I will say battery life was good, but it should be with 5000 mAh and a slow processor.

If they tweak one UI it should feel a little better and smoother , but I’m just not sure they’re concerned with doing that unfortunately 🤷🏻‍♂️ I wish they would send some updates to make it smoother!

Rule of thumb with Samsung is not to buy anything with exynos..

I bought this phone 2 months ago and experiencing the same things you are. So studdery and slow. I wish I would've returned it. I feel Samsung is lying when they say it's 120hz because it certainly doesn't feel that way. I wish I would've waited for the Pixel 6a. My Pixel 3a works better than this Samsung crap.

Ya it’s so unfortunate because it could have been a good phone but I believe they purposely crippled it to push people to the S22 series 🙄

a53 is so bad ppl are rereviewing the a52s elsewhere that has the a52s, since the snapdragon 778g is much better than exynos 1280 also i felt like they are gonna release the a53s with the snapdragon 7 gen 1 if they ever release the a53s

@@jarobetech703 maybe they will release the samsung a53s but not in NA region With either a dimensity chip (my guess is the 1300) or a snapdragon 7 gen 1

@@jarobetech703 agreed. The a52 was a great midrange Samsung made and even gave us the headphone port. This phone took everything the a52 had and made it worse. How can they drop the ball so far smfh

@@Cristalks2244 yes I honestly believe the a52 is the better phone, I prefer the snapdragon processor it had, headphone jack and you can get it for way cheaper.
