I don't think anywhere people said its a bad device. The problem is its slower than the model it replaces with corners cut. No headphone jack, no charging brick, no WIFI 6 support, no FM radio and it has the slowest fast charging in that price category. The xiaomi note 11 pro cost 299 usd with basically the same specs but 67w fast charging.

I have the A53 5G so I am fine with it. The phone being plastic doesn't matter to me since mine is in a full case. I knew what I was getting based on the price, I am fine with the features. I did not expect S22 high end features in a mid range phone. Don't care about Dex, don't need a 3.5 phone jack. Did not need a charger as I have many chargers. Don't really need wireless charging. Don't need an s pen so I am fine with the phone as is especially it's current price when compared to the top end phones.

Same thoughts here. Plastic cases weigh less and there's no cables to break on wireless headphones. Much as I love wired headsets, I haven't used one in over 2 years. (You eventually get tired of repairing them lol.) Upgrading from a Pixel 3A and a LG G8, the most important aspects for me are: stereo speakers, bass, a brighter screen, better efficiency, and price, as I always buy my phones used. This phone checks all my boxes. 😊🌎✨

If you really want a headphone jack, look at the A52. It's nearly the same as the A53, but with a slightly lower capacity battery and a Qualcomm CPU (that performs almost identically to the Exynos in the A53). I think they used the extra space from the headphone jack to fit the larger battery. They used their own Exynos CPU to save money, but it seems to perform just the same.

Yo no lie I went into metro and paid 242 and walked out with the A53 a case and screen protector with the months service and a A13 with a case & screen protector kit and months service. I didn't want the chargers cause imo I don't trust those fast chargers coming from the vape world the slower the charge the better, and longer the battery will last and last over all. Plus they aren't even samsung 30w they are some off brand they push for 30 bucks each. So in conclusion for the deal I got ill gladly take that!!

Sourcing a simple charger with 5V 2A spec only costed us less than US$1 back then. Before the pandemic, these could be found at retail outlets starting from $2 in many regions close to these manufacturers. They sometimes even came with micro-usb cables. I bought one charger at a random shop when traveling in that region, came with a lightning compatible cable, for about $4 in 2019. Also bought a quick charge charger & usb-c cable set for $7. You guessed it right, I forgot my charging cables again when packing for that trip. It was cheaper and easier to get a charger with cable set at some corner shops than buying the "original" cables from some authorized dealer shops. I can still remember we started hearing rumors Apple already started to exclude chargers in their next iphone products. And that really happened in 2020 if I memory serves me right.

When this phone released price of A52s dropped alot.So I got A52s which has much better performance with Snapdragon 778g,camera quality is identical,it has headphone jack.It just has 500 mah less battery but still battery life of A52s is absolutely amazing. Charger is also included in box even tho it's a 15 watt one and price of A52s is also cheaper in my country as compared to a53

It is made out of Polycarbonate on the back and sides, PC is an extremely strong material. I use PC (Polycarbonate) tanks on my vape tanks because because they don't break as easy as glass tanks when dropped or even just tipped over. Also Dex Mode is exclusive to the flagship Samsung phones. I upgraded from a Galaxy A32 5g and when you switch the A53 to run on 6gigs of ram instead of the default 4gigs the experience is SO MUCH smoother. When you first get your A53 it will most likely be set a 60Hz screen refresh rate so you'll have to switch it manually to the 120Hz screen refresh rate. The screen is beautiful using a 6.5in Infinity-o AMOLED display with like 409ppi. The only phone better than this (in the US) at this price point is the Google Pixel 6a and that's just in terms of Google's Camera software, the samd Tensor chip that's in the Pixel 6 and 6 pro. The Chip in the A53 could have been better than The Samsung made Exynos 1280 SoC, some reviews think Samsung should have stuck with the Snapdragon 778g and the earphone jack is gone the A53 so you'll either need a usb-c to 3.5mm adapter or just her a pair of wired ones with usb-c on the end.

In all fairness, it doesn't blatantly sell all of your data (hence price, also the chip shortage exists), most midrange phone buyers don't care about wireless charging, and the S Pen is pricey tech. Also, USB-C...come on. I'd rather accessories. USB-C is so common now that the E-waste argument actually makes some sense. Headphone jack is a damn shame though

The Camera on the A53 is better than the A52s. There is lots of youtube reviews which show the A53 has a better camera. Also i was going to buy the Samsung S21fe. But just like the premium S galaxy phones. They have no micro SD card storage. They want you to pay for storage. But luckily on the A53 it has a micro SD. A big selling point for me. My photos safe if ever my phone breaks.

Thanks for this review video. We just purchased two of these phones and they are coming tomorrow. I didn't know that these did not have a headphone jack. I don't know why Samsung would not have one on this phone. I thought it was an "industry standard" on all ( or most) smartphones. Looks like we will need to order two adapters. (BTW - it doesn't come with a charger either.) We had to order those separately as well as two exterior cases for both phones. I'm surprised they included the battery.

I think the A73 should be like the Transition phone from the S series to the A series or maybe should take the FE's spot with decent processor maybe last gen or last 2 gen snapdragon 8 or Current Snapdragon 7 and Aluminum frame but Plastic back for the value of $500-$600 and maybe include wireless charging as well. I was happy to see the 53g 5g has all the sensors and slow motion that my S9 has. But it appears that in SuperSlow, they removed the motion triggering for it. I do not see an option to use that anywhere. Also playback is 8 seconds instead of 14 like S9, but then there may be an overlooked setting for that I have not found yet.

I wish that I would have watched this video. Samsung Technical Support are useless. They claim that Galaxy A53 5G supports their UBS-C to HDMI adapter and advised me to buy their OWN BRAND but itself does not work. So far, I have FOUR different adapters and came to the conclusion of Mr. Kevin Breeze. I was planning to buy another but I am glad that I found and watched this VIDEO. I first used 1. MCY adapter 2. Always wondered why glass and metal is considered a premium material for phones, glass is delicate and easily broken and aluminum (usually used in phone frames) scratches and dents easily. Both are usually colder to touch and heavier than plastic (why is heavier better for a phone?) And most plastics are generally engineered to be more durable than glass and aluminum. Reason 4: No 3.5mm Headphone jack... None of the phones have that anymore. Therefore if this is a reason to avoid this phone, then all other phones should be avoided also. So, this reason is nullified. Reason 5 & 6: None of the popular phones are providing charging blocks anymore. *It's a dirty tactic of Samsung* and other manufacturers to not provide a charging block for a "Non-wireless charging" phone. So, I had to buy one separately. I'll check out Google Pixel next time!

I have a Galaxy A53 5G. It was free. When another carrier unexpectedly dropped my 1.5m internet service, I signed with Xfinity. They also took over my landlines. However they now need to dig a trench to my house to run fibreoptic cable... It's been a calendar month and I'm still waiting. In the meantime, I got a smartphone to replace my old flip phone. I was hoping I could use mobile wi fi Hotspot and access my internet that way, but they were unable to configure the hook up, possibility due to my laptop's running Windows 8.2. So I'm only halfway out of the water. As far as the A53's quirks, I am getting better at using it. I do need a stylus, my fingers are too big. I find promo pens with a black rubber tip are good for that. Can't beat free.

Buy a Case to protect your phone, so metal or plastic does not matter, a case would save your phone from damages. Wireless changing in my opinion is overrated or Wireless charging is not wireless charging at all.

What I am looking for is a phone to call, text, and web browse when I need to look things up away from home. When I think of build quality, I think of the phone works as it should, no crashes, freezing, dropped calls etc. And every time I find what I think I want, there are a lot of bad reviews on the issues mentioned. I realize that people who have a bad experience are more likely to leave a review, than someone who loves a phone, so I may have to just jump in and buy something. Looking hard at the Nord N200.

I like critical looks at otherwise great phones. No phone is perfect, they all compromise on something or another, or they're just very expensive. Seems like the A53 makes fewer compromises than most phones of its generation (which doesn't include the A52, folks, so stop mentioning it 😂).

3:00 tried GB5 on my LG G7 ThinQ and got 517 single/2154 multi. Sometimes it's a better value to buy an older flagship vs a brand new mid-range. EDIT: Bought a used Pixel 6 Pro.

Hey, I was charged $450 at T-mobile for it! They used to give the phone free and charge the monthly payments for 2 years. Now free phones are for new customers only. Surely will have to change provider!

I had like I said before the a51 a52 and now have the a53 I returned the s21 Fe and the s22 because the a53 has more to offer it has everything the high end phone has and more ear phone don't matter that's why they invented Bluetooth

Same here. I had the s21fe but the camera hole would intrude in certain videos. Like a Lil nibble, weird design choice. I am enjoying this a53 as my 2nd phone

The most critical weakness of A53 is the exynos 1280 processor. Scrolling, zooming, sliding are stuttering occasionally. Samsung should have put a snapdragon inside this phone or at least a better exynos processor.

It has no headphone jack, you can buy earbuds to fit the charging port, no big deal, I like my phone

I ran a Geekbench on my A52 5g and got 621 and 1806. Neither phone is exciting but are adequate.

I bought a Galaxy A53 . i think its a good phone . the charger not being included did kinda piss me off a little . but I got a good price on the phone from Cricket so the extra 20 some thing dollars wasn't a big deal for the Charger . all the other reasons shown here didn't effect my purchase decision .

I bought the A53 5G directly from Samsung but had to return it because of issues I encountered with the 5g connectivity ,I'm a t-mobile customer and t-mobile support told me that the problem was not on their part but on the device, I am very disappointed with the performance of the A53 5G

Let's be real the a53 is basically a budget s22 you're just lacking 2gb or so of ram (a53 has 4-6GB) and storage s22 has 512gb and 128 for a53 and upgrades to 1tb

I have the A53 and I'll give my honest review, my 53 gliches and freezes alot idk why its up to date etc but it does, camara quality is terrible main reason I hardly use it. Finally phone takes forever to charge unless you turn it off.

If you have an older flagship do not buy this. Like I said below. My S9 blows this away in all aspects including camera, speed etc. I was impressed with the speaker. It beat my old S9 but the camera is slow and the phone is also slow.
