You can't do a fair comparison between the s22 lineup and the a53. Even you said you shouldn't be comparing them and you definitely should not. Because if you want that flagship and $1,000 or over experience you can't buy a $400 phone and expect a flagship experience. Most that get the a53 want a good phone for less. And from what I've seen it looks decent for the price.

I upgraded from an S8 to the A53. Paid $299 for the A53. For me this is definitely worth the $. I 1st purchased a Oneplus 9. Big disappointment even from the S8. Camera and KZbin videos were not as good as the S8. Pictures looked grainy and KZbin videos the colors were washed out. Now the A53 just blew me away. Great photos and KZbin videos are vibrant and deep colors. I don't see any performance issues, but I'm not a power user. Very happy with my purchase. Software and Security updates are great also.

Try to compare the A53 with the Galaxy A10 and you"ll be changing your perspective. For low end clunky, outdated, unsupported model users, the performance of a midranger is like driving a Formula 1 racer from a horse drawn cart.

I just purchased the A53 5g for $99.00 from Boost Mobile. I'm moving up from a Moto G Fast. I think you're being to critical of the A53 5G. It's a midrange phone with a lower class price. Comparing it to a phone in the 1k+ range isn't very practical at best and misleading at worse. Those looking a good midrange phone on a shoestring budget the A53 5G is the way to go. It can be had at drastically lower advertised price. I give it two thumbs up. Just get a 25 watt fast charging brick and you're all set.👍👍

Samsung phone’s battery life are below the average from my experience. I was using my P30 Pro as a sat at today and got 9 hours SOT with 75% brightness, GPS on and 4G. I barely get 6 hours on my S22U doing the same. I miss Huawei being banned as we lost Kirin and 5G, so makes the newer P50 Pro a tough buy. Anyway, you can get a P30 Pro secondhand very cheap over here (UK), and even new they are around the same price as the A53. This still comes with Google Services and is now also on HarmonyOS and whilst it may not get as many updates as the A53, it is better in nearly every regard, from the camera to battery life, to quality, to chipset, etc. So outside the US where the choice is much wider, getting an older gen phone can be a great alternative to a phone like the A53.

All phones lag after 2 years because of software updates, to make you want a new phone.
@andyH_England2 жыл бұрын
I would say that if you are intending to keep this 3-4 years then maybe go elsewhere as the Exynos chip will frustrate you assuming that it does not improve (updates may resolve). It is worth paying a bit extra for something with a better chip and in the UK the S21FE is now as low as £450 new, which is £50 more than the list price of the A53. That is an easy choice as the S21FE is better is most other regards, apart from battery life. I have never used the A53, but coming from an iPhone 13 Pro to an S22U, I found that very annoying the performance gap, so I can imagine the A53 would be very diasppointing. It maybe that Android 12 and OneUI 4.1 is just not in harmony at the moment, but there are def performance issues with Exynos 2022 phones. My S20U is blazingly fast and that is Exynos 990 (arguably worse flagship chip the last decade), so I know something is badly wrong. Hoping for updates to fix; my S20U was eventually fixed two years after release!

Adjust the animations!! That's it!! It's not that hard to make this phone feel right you just have to work a little. Developer options,reduce animations to .5 and remove animation for fingerprint. That's it and then you will have no complaints and it will operate almost as fast,and I mean almost which is milliseconds!! C'mon people for the price this phone is the shit!!! Also if your gonna buy an s21fe then you are gonna be plugging in alot more and being frustrated with battery so I think everyone has to pick their poison.

I feel Samsung dropped the ball on this phone. I love the look and feel but it's all about performance if it had the sd 778 in it I would buy it and not look back. The only other thing I have to mention is the vibration motor...it's terrible. I had $129 Xiaomi phones that have better vibration motors and really there's no excuse for it in this price range. To me this is a $250 phone at best, even at that price I would wait for a sale. Hopefully the a54 fixes these problems and possibly adds... wireless charging 🤔.
