I figured it out if its not under notifications everyone. Go to your text messages, tap the little gear or 3 little dots button towards the top, tap emergency alerts and choose the ones you want on or off.

It took me a bit to figure it out, but I finally found mine. You actually have to pull at the top of the phone and look for the little gear and then click on the word Connections. Once you click on Connections you then scroll down and click on More Connection Settings. Once you get there you click on Wireless Emergency Alerts. Then when you are there you click on the word Settings. Once there you click on Alert Types. I don't think they want folks finding the alerts because they made it impossible to find or even Google search it. The only one you will not be able to turn off are the presidential alerts. The only way I found it was doing a search with the magnifying glass for emergency alerts and then worked backwards to find exactly how to find it. But yeah, most folks will actually find it the way I just mentioned, not what is shown in the video. My guess, like I said, is that they don't want people shutting off the alerts so they put it in a place no one would think to look under Connections.

I had to go to Settings> Connections> More connection settings> Wireless emergency alerts, then click on the 3 dots, then click Settings, then click Alert Types. I feel like they intentionally made it harder to find. I think they changed it during an update. I've had an S9 for over 2 years. It wasn't like this before.

All my options are completely deactivated and I STILL get amber alerts at 4am when I'm in bed and simply can't do anything about it. Nothing I do will turn them off. None of the options to do so are where any help video says they will be. Its the worst feature. And now I'm off to wander the streets at 4am to find little Abby Williams and her 70 year old abducter.

It won't work as the Emergency Alerts in Canada are issued as a 'presidential alert' therefore you can not disable or deactivate it.

You can just turn off the sound so it only vibrates, in emergency alert settings. I'm looking for the do not call switch. They call and text until i reply about an amber alert 80 miles away. That's too much.

If the sound weren't so scary I could leave the sound. But my children are screaming with fear. You have to be a sick idiot to report the abduction of a child by the mother in such an idiotic way. During the entire existence of this problem, only once was the problem really dangerous. This is when there was a problem at a nuclear power plant. In other cases, we earned heart attacks and psychological trauma.

Still cant get it to work. Today we had a sever storm alert. My Iphone went off, my weather radio went off and my ham radios went off. the S20 did nothing. It will sure take a call from blocked car warranty folks though

I don't have "Wireless Emergency Alerts"...I got as far as the step before that, but in my advanced notification settings, anything having to do with emergencies was no where to be seen. (I have the Samsung Galaxy S7 phone.)

Sir, you answered my RFI. My turn off buttons were hidden behind the 3-dots menu after I got to Wireless Emergency Alerts which was in Network & Internet in Settings. Mine had been turned off when I 1st got the phone (daughter set it up) and the recent system update must have turned the damn nanny noises back on. Many thanks for helping me find the settings so I'm in control, not some idiot programmers "just following orders" - stupid nazis they are.

So even though I have amber alerts off I still get them sent to me. My location is always turned off and I've even tried to turn off all alerts but I still get amber alerts. It's annoying for many reasons. First being I only seem to get them when I'm asleep so they wake me up constantly and I suffer from sleep based issues so I sometimes can't go back to sleep. Second not my child not my problem. Third I'm a damn neet and shut in the helll am I going to do with an amber alert I dont leave my place. I'm thinking about filing a complaint with Samsung because I have a s9 and a s21 and one as all alerts turned "off" and they other has amber alerts and test alerts turned off and both still go off for amber alerts.

I don't think they have anything to do with your phone's location setting, since Cell Broadcast messages are sent using radio towers in certain areas. So, as long as your phone has reception, it will receive CB-messages, unless you have turned them off. That Amber Alerts still show up after you've deactivated them is strange, normally only the categories you've checked on are supposed to be displayed.

Ya this guy lives in the USA, Canada is governed by CRTC and try to make it mandatory. THERE IS A WAY to fully disable but you will need to be tech savy which I wont explain here (too long) you can "root" the phone however by removing the phones internal system, google samFw_Tool and cellbroadcastreceiver and adb which is part of platform tools. 26JAN23 They appear to have moved this feature from the "Notifications" and placed it in the Messages app where you still have to go into rabbit hole steps to find the Amber Alert slider off on. I have a old Samsung Note 8 with stylus pen. Model SM-N950U Android 9 version. 1) Find the blue icon with white center app labeled Messages 2) Press and hold it A bubble appears 3) click App Info 4) Click the grey settings wheel top right of screen 5) Click Emergency alert settings 6) Click Emergency alerts 7) You will see the AMBER alert lever to turn off on. 26JAN23 Follow & sub 🤝

as of this week my samsung galaxy A20 is missing the emergency alerts section, I AM GETTING AMBER ALERTS DAILY and cannot turn them off. The only alert toggle left on my phone is for earthquake! Did an update remove 'advanced' under notifications?? Anyone else having this problem?
