Worked a treat! only new to android in the last 6 months, didn't know the file system was able to pickup new files just like that and not have to flash/reboot or do any weird sync. Amazing!

I know this is two years late. I’m totally blind and switched from iPhone seven months ago due to Apple‘s refusal to have touch ID on their bigger phones. I know that sounds dumb but I cannot see and face ID never worked. Also, even if it did, they are large screen phones are too expensive and the iPhone SE I had the second generation by the way had signs of battery failure after just two years. The screen was too small and eventually the home button became a nuisance. I switch to the galaxy S9 that I got for $99. Another reason I switch was for custom ringtones Fast forward seven months I have 18 custom ringtones and one custom notification sound. I got them all for free. I get that you can get custom ringtones on iOS for free but you have to use GarageBand and that is extremely difficult. And paying for ringtones is dumb. So that was quickly out of the question. as accessible as Apple was. iOS has become increasingly unstable over the last five years. And while I do miss a few Apple features, the price is too high and the customization is too limited for me to justify the price tag.

Works great! When you're viewing internal storage it might say "Essentials" under the folder name, if you click that you can change it to "All" to view all the folders properly.

Thank you! I have no idea why they make it so difficult to change the notification sound. There was already a folder for Notifications, so all I did was search it up in my files and I tapped on it. Then when I was in the folder I tapped "move here". Worked perfectly fine, and I was able to find the sound under "Custom" in the sound settings. I have a zFlip 5.

Thanks man totally helped, also quick added tip, I have the galaxy flip n when going into "my files" & "audio " folder it didn't show the notification folder as you said. When I went to type it in to add it it told me it already existed but wasn't showing on the menu. So all I did was click the search icon and typed it in and it popped up and I was able to add my custom sound.

Is it possible to have a specific sound for only text messages? I tried to set up my mom's phone with a notification sound just for text messages.
