Hi, I'm not sure since I would have to pry the screen off the midframe and risk damaging it to see the make/manufacturer which is listed usually underneath where the flex cable is covered.

You should be able to use a smaller sized battery as long as the cable length reaches the connector on the board and the connectors for the battery are the same.

If there is moisture in the phone, its best you take it apart and dry out any moisture and use a tooth brush to brush off any corrosion on any connectors or chips. If not, you risk the chance of your motherboard shorting or other parts of your phone shorting and ultimately not working anymore.

Thank you. Its a great phone for the price. The battery alone is very enticing for someone who wants long battery life. Overall its a good construction, however its only gorilla glass 3 for the screen and the back plastic plate scratches very easily.

Hi, your best bet would be to take it apart, disconnect the battery and dry out any liquid. Then use a tooth brush or something similar to brush off any corrosion on chips and connectors etc. Once you have done that, you can reconnect the battery and see if it will work. If not, it's possible you have a bad screen or your motherboard components went bad.

Hi, the indian versions get Mainboards printed from Vietnam the quality is so worst, within last two months Both my M51 and M30s had same issue of bootlooping issues,all by sudden only by changing Main board i was able to fix it and main board of M51 cost half the mobile price and there's no Guarantee it will continue to work as long as it can.Boards printed from China are top notch quality.

Hello! I have a question. My M51 one day suddenly stopped charging from the charging port. Could the charging port be damaged or has the battery become loose? I got the phone in Nov 2020 and I've used it until the beginning of April. I dropped it maybe 4-5 times do you think the charging port is loose or the battery possibly? I've tried multiple usb type c's to charge it and none of them charge the device. I bought mine in Germany so the voltage rating to charge it is different but I bought an adapter for EU to US charging to be able to use the charger on my outlets. Do you think it needs to charge at that voltage or do you think it needs a replacement charging port/battery? Or just open it disconnect the battery and charging port and try to see if it charges after I reconnect everything? I tried to put it in factory mode to see what was going on but it wouldn't let me get into that mode to be able to factory reset it and it died and hasn't charged again. Please I need your help.

Have you checked to see if there is any debris or clunks of dust stuck around the charger port that you can clean out? also its possible the battery cable may have gotten disconnected. You can take it apart and check to see if it is connected or not. If you confirm its connected, then you may need to replace the charger port board.

Hi, don't think it will explode but its possible your battery got damaged from the fall or your fingerprint sensor is damaged and shorting causing the phone not to work. You would probably need to replace it but I cant find any available online so you would probably need to call samsung and see how much they would charge to fix it.

Not sure, I don't see how an app would cause that, but if it is the app, you can try holding down the power button and volume down button together for 30 seconds to see if it will reboot normally. If not, its most likely a hardware issue and not software issue.

Thanks. After removing the back plate and screws on the back housing, then removing the back housing, the fingerprint sensor is held onto the back housing with a metal bracket that can be pulled up so it releases it.

Its possible there is a small hairline crack somewhere in the corner of the screen that you can't see which is preventing the screen from working. It's also possible the screen cable or another cable got disconnected from the fall.

My M51 died on me, sent to get repaired. They said that the phone is bent and therefore no longer under warranty.. My battery casing / covering is all bloated up. Could this have caused the phone to bend? I've been told there are battery issues with the M51.. Any advice would be helpful Thanks

Hi, it's possible the battery could warm the housing but I don't think it would warp the midframe itself. You can try taking it to a repair store or try replacing the battery yourself and see if once the battery is removed, if the back housing will take its original shape since its only plastic.

My M51 works very fine in day to day use. There is only 1 issue. When playing heavy game like Pro Evolution Soccer even on low graphic @60 fps it heats up and starts dropping frames after crossing 40 degree C. Any solution?

The phone doesn't have any high end cooling solution so its normal for it to heat up like that. The phone doesn't have a copper vapor chamber nor does it have a 3D layer of graphite or any special cooling aside from some graphite film and thermal pads. The screen generates a lot of heat when its on for long periods of time, as well as the battery and processor. So due to price range thats what they have to work with. Bottom line the phone isn't really a gaming made phone so the cooling isn't made up to specs for that. Hope this explanation answers your question. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Might be possible if you can find one that would fit in the same compartment and the connector would be in the same area to touch the contact for signal or you might need to do wiring. Also not sure if any other hardware modifications would be needed like adjusting power output to the speaker and so forth. Maybe one day if I have time, i will try it out and see if it would work by just replacing a speaker.

A lot of the batteries are made in china. Just because they are made there doesn't mean they are bad. These factories that produce batteries for samsung or apple are under tight control and have to meet certain specifications. They aren't from random factories in china who make aftermarket batteries.

My 8 months old M51 got directly hit by fast moving cricket ball from screen side and got hit hardly on the brick just below 1cm from camera( to be more precise just above the finger print censor ) there is compression of 2-4 mm due to that my fingerprint sensor quite displaced slightly and not working as lock/unlock button as well , middle frame also got broken from there and had bent over there. Firstly there was a green line on the screen and screen was blinking white when screen was on and blinking green when screen was off at that moment but sometimes that blinking effect got stopped for a while and I could use the phone but still that line was constantly over there. The strange thing is that screen has no cracks and not even a single scratch , damage is only from the fingerprint side with slightly bent and back side But after 5-8 hours it got stopped working completely . I can only see the green flickering of screen when it is off . But when I try to on the screen by double tapping on this it is totally blank. last time i kept my phone on full brightness and 10 min screen time. without using my phone is heating badly and battery is draining as well . ( Always on display is visible but very less inspite of full brightness ) What should I do now? Should I change parts from authorised service center? Will it be durable after that ? Because I have doubt about the durability due to that strong impact. Please reply I will always be grateful to you.
