The m51 has a plastic fantastic frame. The giveaway is no antenna lines on the m51 and the Fe has antenna lines indicative of a metal frame. Plastic frames don't need antenna lines cut in the plastic but metal frames do.

Like your videos I follow you more than the big youtubers that only talk about ultras and pros. I just bought my wife an s20 FE to replace her beat up s8+ for $600 in lavender. So far she likes the screen, size, looks. When it comes to speed and everyday use she is an average user and can't tell the difference in speed. One negative thing she complaint was that the battery is not as good as the s8 plus, even though the s8 had a 3500ma, but my guess is that 120hz, bigger screen and stupid 5g that we don't have since we have cricket and don't need that extra speed or go to crazy expensive Verizon. I found out that on unlock Samsung phones you cannot disable 5g, only on carrier branded ones. Now, about the comparison, the s20 is a better phone, but the m51 is good for the price, is just that its for someone who spends lots of time outside, watches lots of videos with wired headphones and is not a picture taker on a budget. For me, I don't like any kind of headphones, so stereo speakers are a must, I also work when it rains, so IP is a must, I have way too many Qi charging mats and I just like to reduce the wear and tear of the port when charging, I take lots of pictures. I just wished the s20 was smaller, since I prefer smaller phones. By the way, why all mid range or budget have macros and depth sensing cameras? They are useless, specially that macro.

I would probably take the M51 just because of the battery alone, it's half the price, it has the wire reversed charging which is so useful also headphone jack and i prefer the fingerprint reader in the power button . I don't mind the plastic build as i always wear a case on my phone, don't need the 120hz as i use my phone mainly for watching videos, movies, messaging and doing photos, not sure how i feel about the OneUI core but doesn't seem like a big deal as i'm not using the features it lacks so much on my current Samsung. The only thing i'm worried about is the thickness of the phone it's already 9mm plus with a case will be over a centimeter and i'm afraid it will be uncomfortable to use.

The thing which no one would tell is the difference between, One UI Core and One UI, that's y lot of them go for M series phones looking at the price and battery. Google this and make your own decisions. M series phones lack all the features which the higher end models have.

M51 doesn't have wireless charging lol ...but the main advantage of having m51 over s20fe is obviously it's battery and presence of headphone jack, almost all other features like, processor, camera, wireless charging, stereo speakers 120hz refresh rate, metal frame, IP68;water resistance are present or is better in the s20fe

Only thing that stopped me is Exynos processor for s20fe ( Here in India) I just got m51. Im not a heavy gamer but I am a heavy user. My screen time is at least 11-13 hours per day. I mostly use KZbin, Chrome and WPS office and One charge ( within 2 hours) gives me 1 and a half day to 2 days easily. That's enough for me.

I mucked around for AGES trying to decide. Here in NZ the s20 fe was 1100 and the m51 was 650. I found your reviews in particular to be very helpful in deciding. I went with the m51. I think the (in my use case) minor performance difference and slower refresh is eclipsed by the complete and total lack of battery anxiety I am now experiencing. I work somewhat long hours away from grid power and battery management has long been the bane of my life. My s8 was getting unbearable. Add in the dual sim and that it's nearly half the price... yeah. M51 ALL DAY. Anyway, I appreciate the concise reviews, I watched a bunch and found them excellent, thank you. Also I would be interested to know, what is YOUR phone? The one you use every day? Do you buy new ones all the time? Are you rocking some antique 2 inch iPhone? What does a tech reviewer do when we aren't looking? I must know.

Depends on how much u want to spend, both offer extremely good value at different price points, s20 fe is better in most ways but more money. Unless ofc u just want a battery phone, then m51 is clearly the best choice. I personally got my s20 fe for $250 off, which made it around the same price as an a71 so that was a no brainer.

Why would u compare a midrange chipset to a flagship chipset? Exynos990 is definitely better than SD730g just because its snapdragon doesn't mean it always better, like SD665 is better than Exynos990 lol

Hey, here in Brazil we do have the M series. The devices are competitive in price with the A series. In "reais", our money, the A71 is 2.000 R$, while the M51 is 2.600 R$.

I stll have a70, which I bought arround 18months ago for 300eur, which was very good deal for new device back than... When I got my phone I changed a lot of settings, and phone is still super fast... The only thing why I would upgrade from it is higher refresh rate, and I think that this phone can easy last me 1more year with no lags... I cant eaven notice the slow down of the phone, I can that it got faster eaven... Especially fingerprint sensor... I just tap and it unlocks in less than a second... I can say that its basically the same speed as my mom's s10plus and a little faster than my dads s8plus... I really enjoy using my phone, I dont have nothing to complain about, I will prbably upgrade at the end on 2021, because I'm happy with it, the only thing is, that a70 won't get 3 years of updates, eaven thought the a51 is much slower than a70.... I think that samsung didi that just because they want to selll more phones and nothing else.... Sa, because this phone is really capable of running this... I really didn't have a good experisence with old samsung's midrangers, but since 2019, they are amazing, and I will probably buy another high-mid range phone from samung, because to be completely honest, I dont need a better camera, faster phone, because I am not a gamer, and for social media, eaven a70 is too fast... Very good video... The m51 reminds me of my a70, but to be honest, I dont see a reason to upgrade, because only battery is much better and it has wireless chrging, but than the cameras are not really an upgrade, only the processor is the same as in the a71 which means a litte faster than my a70 (which is fast enought for me and is not laggy at all like my sister's a50 is)... If I would need a good camera, I would buy a pixel, but now I'm good with GCam app... So I think that there is only 1% of people who really need a flagship, others who dont eaven know how to use a flagship, just dont buy it...

If you actually do a trade in, samsung is offering the s20fe for only $139.99. I like them both. I personally have the s20fe but if you like the M51, that's your choice and that's fine as well. Samsung for the win!
