You can use a plastic card like credit card to do the job. Remember Note2 border seam needs to pry loose from the front instead of back like the S-series. Once open, use alcohol with cotton butt to clean the greasy dirt clogged power button that stuck, causing looping reboot problem. It will work without any replacement.

Hi, the part at 6:52 is the vibrating motor, you said that the headphone jacks and the bottom speakers were not working, is that means you can't hear anything from the headphone speaker? or you can't play music or video sound from the bottom speaker?

I have dismantled my Note 2 and after closing it up, I have found a very tiny spring about 1 cm in size and about 1 mm in diameter on my table. Just like the longer version of speaker connector springs in Casio watches. I'm not sure if it came out of the phone but where else it could be? Have you noticed any such spring in this phone model? Phone seems to operate normally anyway, except the headphone jack which does not work at all. I'm not absolutely sure if it has any relationship with it.

Well, the headphone jack does have a tiny spring inside, if your phone is not working well on the headphone as you say so. It could be that tiny spring you found which from the headphone jack. We suggest you replace the headphone jack if you can not fix this part.

Oh ok...well i ended up taking phone apart 100% and i cleaned areas with isopropyl alcohol and also i did use a blow dryer in certain areas just incase phone didnt dry from being previously wet. I did infact come accross to rather interesting pieces that did not look right. Wish i could show u a pic, but im kinda tbinking if i can replace those to pieces i found then i should maybe get power back. Please help. Worse to worse i can bring to u guys for further analysis. My note 2 broke and won't turn on at all. I just purchased another note 2, almost all my photos and data were stored in the broken note 2's internal memory. Is there anyway to take out the internal memory from the broken one and replace it in the new note 2? Or is there anyway to recover my lost data? Simply connecting it into my usb port doesn't work because it wont turn on. I'd really appreciate the help!

Did you try to switch off the notification reminder? Sometimes it happens when this setting is on. Go to Settings >> Accessibility >> Notification Reminder

congratulations dude, it was a great video, my phone has this problem my screen was cracked and send it to remplace it, but the technician did a a bad job and all uv glue are in my phone, i suppose that him or they change the screen and use uv glue, cuz its all wet in it, and now the screen is fixed, my wifi reciver is very week, i have to stay just a few meters 4 or 6 meter max from my modem to get signal and use internet service via wifi, but when i want to use internet service provider(Telcel) i can use it without a problem, could be the uv glue could cause the problem? and another problem too, my power btn is not working, should i remplace the botton or power botton flex cable?

there are some parts they can share and some not, like they can share the same front glass, battery,navigator button flex cable,front&rear facing camera etc, and they can are not compatible with midframe, vibrating motor, LCD frame etc.

My note 2 got wet 1 week ago and it stopped working. i have dried up the phone by keeping it under the sunlight. now everything is working except the rear camera and also its not detecting the sim card. i have been to service center for this. they are telling me that they need to change the motherboard. then everything will work. am confused that do they need to change whole motherboard? or simply they can change the sim detector and rear camera. Hi! We will do as much as we can to help you. We don't know if your phone is virus-infected or malicious Apps installed. If the phone is not used for a long time and totally running out of battery, it can be turned on. Charge the phone for half and hour and see if it shows on normal charging. If not so, we suggest you go to the repair shop and teardown the phone. Maybe the battery flex cable is on loose or parts of the phone side is broken. Hope everything goes well on you.

Unfortunately I destroyed my phone (170 euro damage) because you did not mention to be careful while using the case open tool not to damage the touch screen. As I was trying to insert the tool I put it in an angel that destroyed it. You must be extremely careful to put the tool vertically on the phone NOT horizontally because it will damage the screen.
