I've had my Note 3 since launch and its awesome. Best phone out right now. So many features. iPhone users say it's "too big" until i place it in their hands, then use the stylus, watch videos, etc.

I've had my Note 3 since December 2013 after Samsung S2 and I love it. Really like the battery life and many other things. Really don't have any complaints except for one. The lens for the camera protruding. Have to be careful not to slam it down too hard or you may Crack the lens. Luckily I could order a replacement part from China where it's made and watched a youtube video of disassembly and reassemble and was able to replace the part myself. I got an Otterbox case to prevent this in the future. Great review. I don't know how you can top this great phone.

yes you can open two screens side by side bot you can also open amaller sceens alongside so the answer is yes

I'm not very techy and i have to do a lot of research to get what o want...which i guess isnt such a bad thing...anyhow, i got the note 3 last week and still learning about it but i have issues with not finding some icons! I went to the apps and downloaded some and they showed up but some default google icons arent found like the earth icon for inrernet, not there, its installed too. I also have G Chrome installed but no icon in the apps folder to add to my home screen. What am i missing? Any help or a tutorial would help LOTS please! Thanks Marc!

There should be a Google folder in the app drawer. in that folder you should find most of the Google apps. Google earth isn't installed, you would have to install it. also in the drawer, there should be like a settings button or tab. Sometimes downloaded apps will be at a specific tab that says "downloaded ".

The phone is really great. I've had mine for two days and already used to the size. People just hate on it but haven't actually used it. Also the speed of it is so good. Really happy with my buy and would recommend it guys haha

What game was that? I'm going to need this phone. Has there been any speculation on a Note 4 this year? Not a big fan of how company's are producing new versions every year. I know the S5, based on my readings, isn't going to be much of an upgrade from the S4. They should simmer down and really make something amazing happen, reach for revolutionizing cell phones.

so there isnt any bug or lag or slowed-down performance after being used for 5 months, it runs perfectly fine? as far as i know of, some android (samsung in particular) users like me suffer the lack of performance & the smoothness of a fresh new device after a few months of usage due to the contents/files loaded to the device and so on which is not the case with iOS devices (still, I dont see myself using one). I'm using the Galaxy Nexus and I can remember how fast and stable the phone was when I first had it in hand and now its just not as good anymore (crashes more frequently blah blah)

Before doing a factory back up restart device take a screenshot on all your apps you mite have installed and go back up factory device and start to install all apps you once had install accounts turn on WiFi and there you go your internal memory device will remove all unwanted apps and other stuff. I do it all the time it works try it

Good review! I'm to the android scene a d it actually could learn a few things from the windows smartphone scene. Mostly wake up times and photo back ups. It's a headache having my SD card in my phone and not being able to choose where my apps save data. I only want ONE app to have access to my SD card and that would be spotify so that I can entirely fill that card with songs and not have to worry about filling my phone storage.

Thanks for the video, I got my note on Sunday and I can't get off of it. My wife can't ether lol. I am learning so much all the time. I do have a question though I seem to have lagging when messing around with apps and also my calls when I answer them automatically go on speaker and speaker is not even on. Is there a feature to have speaker on? I use to have an HTC One S and if you set it facing down it would automatically go into speaker mode. I don't know if it's the position of the phone when I answer or if it's a bug. Thanks again for the video!

Galaxy Note 3 charging time is the same as Galaxy S4 pretty much,when i had my Galaxy Note 3 it take 2 hours to charge from 5% to 100% full.The USB 3.0 is faster but the battery is bigger so it's basically the same as most of the new phones,are you getting Galaxy S5 or you going to pass?

if you turn down the brightness and put something on the screen with greys and deep blacks(say the drop down menu with enough stuff to make it scroll or the setting menu) are you getting ghosting and pink/purple smudging between the greys and blacks when movement is implied? I haven't found a note 3 or S4 that hasn't done it even they new S5 does it. I recently upgraded to the galaxy s4 last friday from my iPhone4 and its amazing. I don't really mind of the battery issue or heat issue cause I don't do much heavy stuff. Sometimes I play some emulators and watch youtube but thats pretty much it. I got it for 50 dollars at best buy no joke. I went for this over the note 3 cause it fits well in my hands and fits in my pockets. Just recently got a uag case for it in wihte I also got the s4 in white it has 4.3 doesn't have 4.4.2 yet hopefully soon. I don't like rooting it cause I am afraid I will screw it up.

Best way is to free up memory on the internal device is go to settings restore device its self it will erase all but you won't lose a thing because apps like google photos will not erase any photos when you do a factory back up .

Noticed you had the Pebble :) was wondering if it was worth it? I didn't find the Gear smartwatches to my liking and the Pebble actually looked good to me. geoffphuket I turned of the lock screen animation and unistaled Opera browser. Now the reboots are less, one by week. Before it was one at each two days. Last night after a call it did reboot again. Its weird. My previous Note 2 never did this.

I had the same exact issue on my s4. If you are downloading images from the Web, remove them. A lot of them are corrupted. I basically found out by uploading all my pics to Google drive and when I uploaded my downloaded images from the Web my phone was back to normal. Also if you got to many active apps that consistently run such as widgets you might want to take some out. I find even if you don't use all but most ram it will shut off or restart.

If you say the phone doesn't lag your just plain out lying..mines lags almost every day. idk if its my model but when the screen is on low brightness the blacks look AWFUL!!! shadows all over the place when i love or swipe something. however at about 25% its gone. Also signal issues are present i get horrible reception where my g2 and iphone dont have any issues. and dont say its my device its been replaced 2 times and it still does the same thing. except the screen part

I've tried everything..maybe better luck with note 4. I'm really excited for it and the iphone 6. However I'm switching from sprint to Tmobile because of the jump program. Even though sprint provides me with more reliable (not faster) coverage.

I'm pretty sure this phone can be rooted. But I don't really care for rooting since Jelly Bean Update was released.

Marc The Geek Of course it CAN be rooted, but contrary to the other companies, Samsung takes a different approach, Knox immediately voids your warranty, and its counter is non-resettable. Forget about the Jelly bean, Kitkat doesn't even allow you to go back to Jelly bean. Constraints are no less than Apple's. Considering rooting, well, to each their own preferences, and I'm not gonna mention the benefits or risks of rooting here, but I'm sure the fraction of android users who don't root is because they don't know how to root:) Thanx for the reply.

When I talk or review a phone I'm trying to help the normal people with the decision to by a phone or not. The majority don't care about rooting and believe me, I know the benefits of rooting, since the Jelly Bean I don't seem to need it no more. There are others that make videos for rooting, maybe you should look for them. Or go to the XDA forums.
