Just recently switched from iOS to Android and picked up the Note 9. One of the best phone experiences I've ever had. When it comes to price versus feature comparison, the Note 9 wins. If course there are a few quirks with Android over iOS, but still an excellent experience none the less.

I advise you to watch speed comparisons between ios and android devices in 2015 and see it know on modern android and ios devices, you will notice the difference. iPhone is no longer the king of speed or even running apps on backgrounds. many android devices destroys iPhones in speed category plus they give you 100000000+ option to configure. You can also configure the phone speed according to how much battery you would like to consume its your choice not the manufacturer's.

The android world is full with competition that's why companies are racing to improve and innovate where apple has no competition with their own ecosystem and their ios and they don't fell that they have to improve as much as the others as long as they have people used to their ecosystem and they are ready to pay huge money for the new iPhone even if it doesn't have much improvement simply because there is no other choice . I like iPhones but I didn't use them and I won't as daily drivers. They just don't have any advantage anymore. 4 or 5 years ago if I was financially able to buy An iPhone I wouldn't hesitate to buy one because there was a significant advantage in performance and the consistency of it but today both android and ios devices wear out the same and ios devices are having glitches and they slow over time this is how manufacturers make money and we can't do anything about it.

Nah, If you don't mind Apple controlling your life and knowing everything there is to know about you then apple is fine but if you want a phone that YOU control then Android is the way to go. While IOS is a v.good GUI Apple want to have near total control about how you use your phone, with Android the OS is top notch and the user has much more control over their own device.

Hi, I came back to Android after 6 years with iPhones and I'm totally in love with the Note 9. I thought I wouldn't use the s-pen but boy has it been great for a bunch of things like notes, cropping videos, translation, simple gaming, etc. and of course NO NOTCH, 3.5 jack and the possibility of microsd. I don't regret for a moment buying this beautiful beast.

This is the best phone, my experience with this has been absolutely stunning. Gorgeous display, love Oreo 8.1 plus Good Lock UI, amazing design, performance is as fast as you need, and as like other android devices you’re able to customize with apps like Fluid Navigation Gestures, Glimpse Notification, and also changing the Minimum Width in Developer options to 450dp, phone looks amazing.

Intelligent scan is face + Iris. It's more secure, so takes more time. It's good to have that option, along with face, Iris and finger print all separate. I prefer intelligent scan for security, but sometimes it doesn't work and you just cancel it and rescan.

I don't know if you know this but they just came out with a software update for the camera. I haven't really checked out the update yet but it's suppose to fix all the little issues that people noticed when they got there phones and used the camera's.

I really hope we see more updates on this because the camera on this is what's stopping me getting it. I know you can get gcam but I like things built in. I'm coming from a Pixel 2 and take a lot of selfies and stuff with friends and family and want that detail and sharpness on this. Hopefully the update is here soon and fixes that.

Depends on country/continent. China/Europe don't have the same processor (I think Snapdragon). But if you can get the one sold in U.S., the price will drop after the New Years to 650 or 700 USD, and IMO, definitely worth buying. I switched from iOS and will not turn back. Trying to find a way to join the Samsung upgrade program so I can get the new Samsung Note's every year or two.

I have had every Note since the Note 2, and it's the pen that makes it for me over the other Samsung phones. For work it has been fantastic. That said, I normally use my Huawei P20 Pro for photography since overall it does the best job. Video is better on the Note.

There is a deal breaking problem for a small segment of users that film using an external monitor connected with a type C to HDMI cable dongle. When the camera is enabled in the landscape mode the monitor is switched to portrait mode and a message is displayed to the effect that landscape mode is not available when Smart View is enabled OR a HDMI connection is used. This essentially renders an external monitor useless and only occurs when in the camera mode. Why Samsung designed implemented this function is a mystery as no other app exhibits it. I have tried different cables and different camera apps and nothing tried will display landscape in a camera app. As I said this is a deal breaker and I wish I had known prior to my purchase.

@@markus5755 have fun buying a phone every 1-2 years, while Apple still supports the 5s, a phone from 2013. That's the problem with samsung, you need to buy a new phone sooner than if you have an iPhone. That's why Apple has slow iPhone sales, becuase people are still satisfied with the old phones which some still out perform new android phones. shitdriods

@@markm4123 Ugh. Old as hell argument. Yes apple is good at support but who uses a phone more then two years anymore. No one I know. I still have my s2 and its still working great but it sits in my dresser draw next my s5 which is also still snappy and works great. But like most people I upgrade often because I like the latest tech, latest cameras, bigger displays in a smaller form factor, qhd k4 video, faster processors, bigger longer lasting batteries and on and on.. Iphone 5s has an outdates slow camera, crappy display, poor battery life and is just OLD compared to today's phones,

@@Beammeupscotty-w5x actually, a lot of people dont upgrade every two years. In fact, because iPhones are supported for so long, people dont feel like spending money if their phone still works great. Plus, have you seen Apple's sales lately? They are so bad because no one is interested in a new phone right now. Same with Samsung, because their S8, S8+, and Note 8 all sold better than the S9, S9+, and Note 9. again, because people dont want to upgrade if they have something that still works. that is why Samsungs S10 will do very well because Samsung barely supports their phones, so people will be looking for an upgrade.

I'm happier with Note 9 than I ever was with Note 8. I would be a lot happier if Samsung hadn't removed some neat features on this excellent phone. A shame indeed. Yes, the front facing camera has improved but still needs some work. I noticed that I can get better selfies if I use the Spen.

@@johnnydwyer4261 I don't think it's the worst for sure. In fact the rear camera it's very good especially after the latest camera update. The front facing camera also performs well outdoors. The problem with the front facing camera is indoors with either natural light coming in or at night with artificial light. To be honest this is not only a problem with Samsung's phones it's equally trash with iPhones, LG and most. It was because of the Pixel phones that put everyone to shame that we really started to notice this.

I did all these and its true that I when I unplug it into the morning I have battery life value even up to 1 day and 6 hours BUT the point is that this indication is not a real one. I mean that the battery life of the diagnostics is valid only if the phone is idle. If you start using it you will see that the real life time goes to the usual level, which is approximately 13 to 16 hours depending on the use. Even harder In travel use with phone calls, map navigation, 4G, checking and answering emails and some social media you even need to charge again if you need the phone full day. The biggest battery consumption comes from the screen.

Yeah the charging speed isn't good enough . They should really change the charger with the s10 because their charger is too old. Its 15w and it's not acceptable if it came with the s10 in my opinion.
