I got a brand new Note 8 months or so ago and I bought it from Ebay in original box. When I bought it I had the Note Edge which I really liked but there's a big difference.You would really enjoy the Note 8 as it has a whole lot more features then the Note Edge/Note 4 which basically is the same except for curved edge on one side.

The note 9 has 4000mah and battery could last longer but with my note 8, I might not going to have issues with battery life but one ui is coming and it will have improvements though. It is what it is. Note 8 is worth it. So i gonna buy The note 8 over note 9. S10 came but they would drop the price more. 300 on Amazon and eBay.

I agree the black camera looks better but the 9 looks better overall. The color looks more premium. The 8s blue looks more plastic-ish the screen is slightly larger on the 9 which is more appealing to the eye. And the pop of color on the s pen is dope. I wish they released more colors here in the US. Also the only thing I don't like about Samsung is you can't send GIF texts.

Yes, my note were completely dead few weeks after updating software. Apple too was so slow to download... Now I use Sony Xperia Z...I had it for 3yrs it not as nice but at least it saves me tons of money.

I prefer the fingerprint scanner on the note 8 over the note 9. I just naturally hold my phone in a way where the scanner is in the perfect spot for me. Everyone has their own preference though.

Been using my Note 8 for 7 months now for my daily tasks - multitasking with work and personal use. Never had a lag or downtime so far. Been so useful for my work and everyday needs. Note 9 doesn't have much difference though except on that S Pen Bluetooth thing. Maybe, will wait until there's really that great enhancements with the future Note series.

Actually Note 9 has more features than Note 8 due to the following reasons: - Twice the storage i.e. 128 GB for the base model vs 64GB or 8 times for the high model i.e. 512 GB - Stereo speakers - Dual camera with variable aperture along with dual flashes - Higher capacity of battery which was the main point for Note 7 - Better heat management for long term use - Improvement on S-Pen I will personally trade a Note 8 for Note 9 because the latter will last longer as daily phone and fixed majority of shortcomings from the former.

I'll be staying with the note 8. There's not much of difference between the both phones. I carry a portable battery pack with me at all times as the battery does run down quick but overall I'd say it's still probably one of the best phones out on the market out there.

I look at some basic stuff when i buy a phone: The price, the durability of the phone, the battery, the processing power, the ram and ofc the hard disk capacity and how much years the phone will be able to run 'new' apps. Note 9 has some good improvement. The battery, the hard disk cap and the processing power which is roughly 30% higher is great but it doesn't seem like a must yet.

Abdul Karim I love the ui. some Samsung apps works better than Google apps so on my S7 Edge the Google Apps Are The bloatware. It's not gimmicky features if I use it daily lot of the Samsung features are really useful in my daily life. There's no lag on my S7 edge Samsung phone's haven't had them for a long time now.

I had the NOTE8 since Nov 2017 & now I have the Note9 since it came out and I have to say Note 9 much better phone better camera better reception, speakers. The phone all of it is a heck of whole lot faster it even feels better in the hand. A very cool stylus pen you can do much more with it. I also have a Note 3 that I replaced with the 8 I actually prefer my Note3 over the 8 but prefer my Note9 over both of them. Way much better phone!

I got my Note 8 almost exactly one year ago now on Black Friday 2017. Best Buy had an absolutely killer deal on these phones then and I managed to get it for only $585 which was easily the best deal I could find for a phone at that time. It really came down to between the Note 8 and the iPhone X for me and the iPhone was simply too small for me in the end. I'd say I have been very happy for the most part with my Note 8 in the year that I have owned it, with one significant issue that I have noticed only recently: the screen has clear burn-in. This was a surprise for me considering I've previously owned (and still have) a GS4, Note 5, Note 7, and GS7E and none of them has ever suffered from burn-in. I place most of the blame on the KZbin app (and myself for not realizing it) because if you watch videos holding the phone in portrait, the actual video remains on screen in the same position while you scroll through the comments below. What happened is that the video player in the KZbin app has permanently burned in on the top third of my display because of my heavy KZbin usage. Just something to be aware of for any owners of an AMOLED phone. The current KZbin app WILL burn the video player into your screen if you watch a lot in portrait mode. Other than that the Note 8 has been just as flawless as all my previous Samsung devices, suffering from none of the supposed lag Samsung phones are always accused of. I even run Nova Launcher with a fully customized layout and interactive wallpaper and the Note 8 handles it like a champ. I really have little interest in the current flagship phones as they are all pretty much just a mild evolution of last year's flagships and the Note 8 is still about 90% as good as a Note 9 or the iPhone XS Max. Will probably be getting the Note 10 next year though!
