tornado63o the S8+ is still really darn good. I'd reccomend waiting until the Note 10, but you should totally try the pen. Its life changing. I use it every day. I have to take about 20 screenshots a day for work and being able to accurately draw on said screenshots is awesome vs my finger. I would have kept the s8+ for a couple years but we wanted to get. Away from Verizon and go with a cheaper company.:)

The note 9 beats the s9+ only if the user needs more battery life( and it won't make a big difference if you charge your phone daily), a lot of files and other stuff to store due to the exta storage and the s-pen. The s9+ will beat the note 9 if the user doesn't need a terabyte storage and doesn't need to use the phone continuously( the battery will still live to the end of the day), and its 20% cheaper.

That's a joke right? You completely missed the Notes MAIN selling point...the S Pen. You can do soooooo much more with the Note 9 than the S9 Plus all because of the S Pen. The Note 9 is an upgrade in almost every way, how can you honestly say that the S9 Plus beats the Note 9 when the Note 9 has more features, 4000 MAH battery, 1 TB of storage, more features to the camera, Bluetooth S Pen, and a bigger screen with more brightness? The Note 9 is an upgrade to the S9 Plus with more features and better overall specs, so how can an upgrade be worse than something that it precedes? My sister had just bought the S9 Plus 2 months ago, I just bought my Note 9 two weeks ago...I showed her all the shit she cant do on her S9 Plus and she went directly to her carrier to ask if she could switch out phones to get the Note 9 instead. The reason for that is because she thought the Note 9 was better. Half of the people that would think that these are "basically the same phones" don't know about everything that the S Pen does. The S Pen alone makes these phones completely different from each other and the Note 9 has more features to its S Pen than ever before. Now...if I DIDNT use the S Pen, than yes, I would go with the cheaper S9 Plus, but as a daily S Pen user I wouldn't be able to go to another phone even if I tried.

Actually I was waiting for Note9 price and I’m satisfied so I’m purchasing Note9. And I liked last year fingerprint position because my hand 🤚🏻 is big so no problem for me. This year S9+ my finger is touching the first camera. S9 is okay so Note 9 the finger is little higher another plus for me and 4000mah my biggest worry solved I’m using iP6 16GB 1800mah to 4000mah I’m really happy. Storage I was thinking how to increase but base itself 128GB that’s enough

I used the 9+ as well as the note 9 but I just prefer the 9+. Like you mentioned, the finger print scanner is much easier to access of the 9+ , the rounded corners also give it a much better look. Pros to the note 9 would definitely be the all day battery, I sometimes forget to charge my phone in the morning because the battery lasts me a few hours into the next day. In my opinion, with the note 9, you are paying for extra storage, battery life, and of course, the s pen.

Xydro I myself am using an S8+ too and thinking of upgrading. The only thing that scares me is that the S10+ wil be significantly better than the Note 9.

That came across my mind too, and shelling out $1000 isn't something I want to do. However looking into the offers that Samsung provided for pre ordering I saw they'd knock off $400 dollars if I traded in my S8+. Also I signed up for their Samsung Upgrade Program. Which lets me pay $25 a month, then after a year I can upgrade to the newest S or Note device. Or if I don't like any of them just pay off the phone and it's mine. I saw it as a strategic buy because after a year If I don't like the new S just wait 3 months and get the Note instead or vice versa. Sure you'll be with that device for a least a year, but I really like the Note series so for me it's nice.

@@aimxdy8680 i went ahead and got my wife the note 9 it was only $650 plus tax/upgrade fees because she traded in her only v20 for $250, it was a pretty solid deal and she loves it so far. I went with the g7 due to all the features and only being $350 because of $250 for trading in my v20. Its ok on the battery the only thing i hate is it only has 4g ram and i notice i hover around 75-80 usage through out the day oh well it was only $350

Verizon has a promo right now where any Samsung phone is free with the purchase of the Note9. My boyfriend just got the Note so I got to pick between the Note and S9 for free, so looks like I'll be getting the Note9 since it seems to be a little better and wont cost any more! You should get the s9 or s9 plus you get better value for your money unless you actually make use of the s pen so basicaly the s9 plus is the same as note 9 s9 plus is a note 9 without the s pen
