Recently got back into writing with pens big time because of The Pen Addicts podcast, making this Note 4 way more attractive than it would've been otherwise.

This is closer to a 'First Impression' than a Review. A review should hit on a few more points like what the camera quality is like (daylight, low light), how long the battery lasts, build quality, screen quality (e.g. color accuracy, vibrancy), features and responsiveness.

Aloha from Hawaii. Great review and I love your enthusiasm. Too bad that both times I've seen you regarding Note 4, you were with a couple of Apple Twits that didn't know squat about the best smartphone on the Planet. I counsel many thousands of Airline people and we all love our Note phones, especially the Note 4. BTW, kickstand cases for the Note 4, with "loop" kickstand, not bar style, are great for one handed use. One puts a finger through kickstand in back with makes one hand easy to maneuver phone. Just got one from Encased via Amazon (with holster) and it works great. Wish you were a Hawaiian Wahine.

You can enable one-handed operation mode in this phone which you did not mention.

Shannon, there are some pretty good apps you can get for your Note. "S-Pen Voice" is good for interviews as it will record audio while allowing you to jot notes. Papyrus is a fairly solid program for jotting diagrams and the like.

Awesome. I used the S-Pen a TON the past few weeks for note-taking, lists, and as a simple journal. Still loving it, and I got a bunch of compliments on the phone while I was on vacation lol.

Check out Mont Blanc's leather covers and writing instruments for the Note 4. If you do root it, let us know how it turns out. Maybe make a video on the rooting.

You said you didn't like the back cover, you can always buy replacement backs on eBay, many to choose from including metal ones. Also the wireless charging back doors, they look better and don't have Verizon written all over it. Great Phone.

Sadly the note 4 is going to be one of the harder phones to root, so the question isn't really "are you going to root" but rather "are you going to be ABLE to root". I'm holding out till the Developer Edition is officially rooted before I pull the trigger with the credit card! Glad you like it so much though!

A positive review is still a review. And it's not her's. Samsung sends it to them for review (After they request it). It might sound "braggy" because it's the best phone out there right now at the screen size.
