theyre being dishonest, 240hz is a marketing gimmick. The cable can only do 60hz. Only recently the new hdmi supports 120hz native and thats where 3d could improve but they stopped having that option in the tv. Maybe its extra processing too exlensive for the big suits bottom line to integrate. This is what gatekeeping does in holding back technology thats obviously improved and yet still unavailable.

i see two giant 85" TVs on sales now. Both are QLED. The Samsung is 120hz and the Hisense 60 hz, The price is significantly different. we are talking about $1800 vs $650. so i am not sure if that 60 hz difference is worth that much price difference.

I think I have the TV they mentioned, bought back in 2005. Can't remember if it's C or D 8000. Been used daily for 5 hours on average. My father is very old and it's all he does, sometimes starting at 10am and watching TV until 11pm. Still going strong, well worth the £1500-700 paid back then. The 9000 TV looked amazing, very little to no frame with a nice full metal rear. No ports on the screen, they were in a small box placed at the bottom of the screen.
